Rainy weather brings increased humidity, wet surroundings, and exposure to contaminated water and soilโconditions that can contribute to different health problems in our feline companions.
๐พ Common rainy-season concerns in cats include:
๐ฆ Feline Upper Respiratory Infection (URI)
๐ซ Pneumonia and respiratory problems
๐ฆ Feline Calicivirus
๐ Skin and fungal infections, including ringworm
๐ชฒ Fleas and ticks
๐ชฑ Intestinal parasites
๐ฆ Leptospirosis
๐ Ear infections (otitis)
โ ๏ธ Watch for sneezing, nasal or eye discharge, coughing, difficulty breathing, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, excessive scratching, hair loss, ear odor, or unusual lethargy.
