The Philippine Forest Dog or Asong Gubat is a native dog breed which originates from the Philippine jungles. They may live independently because they were raised locally in the wild. The Asong Gubat breed may have existed for 36,000 years. The ancestors of this breed are believed to have arrived in the Philippines as hunting dogs and companions with early settlers.
