Did you know that spaying and neutering can help prevent unwanted litters and contribute to better long-term pet care?

✂️ Kapon (Neuter)— surgery to remove the testicles of a male pet.

✂️ Laygit (Spay)— surgery to remove the ovaries and usually the uterus of a female pet.

Some potential benefits include:
• Preventing unwanted pregnancies
• Helping reduce pet overpopulation
• Eliminating heat cycles in females
• Preventing uterine infection (pyometra) in spayed females
• Eliminating the risk of testicular cancer in neutered males

What you’re seeing is more than “just an itchy dog.”

This is a case of sarcoptic mange, caused by microscopic mites that burrow into the skin.

Signs you may notice:
• Intense itching and scratching
• Red, irritated skin
• Hair loss
• Crusting and scabs
• Thickened or darkened skin in severe cases

⚠️ Sarcoptic mange is contagious between dogs and may temporarily cause itchy skin lesions in people who have close contact with an affected pet.

💡 Important: Many skin conditions can look similar. Proper veterinary assessment is needed to determine the cause and choose the appropriate treatment.

If your dog is constantly scratching or developing bald and crusty areas, don’t wait for it to get worse.
