Saw a similar post from a vet doctor here In Quezon. Apparently, some clients are buying for prescription meds at the clinic but with no prescription. We have protocols for prescription meds for a rea*on. Kahit sabihin po ni Doc ganito na pwede kahit walang prescription, we do insist because our protocols are there for all clients not just for you. We understand na abala minsan sa inyo, but the fact na di nagbigay ang vet niyo ng prescription means na siya ang nagbigay ng abala at hindi po kami. We follow protocols just like we follow the law. If your vet doesn’t want to give you prescription and your buying it from others and not from him, insist on asking for one because his protocol might not be our protocol. And how would we know the correct medication, dosage and strength of the drug you are buying if not with proper prescription? Or even a proper endorsement from your vet to ours. Let’s respect each other’s rules and protocols.

We only ask for an UPDATED PRESCRIPTION from any vet clinic signed by a vet. That’s all.

Please follow our protocols and don’t intimidate our staff just to give in to your demands.

This is not the right way to neuter a cat!

We had a cat patient who came in and presented with this: a rubber band tied around its sc***um. This is cruel, inhumane and unsafe! Imagine the cat suffering with pain in days before he was brought to us.

The only safe and humane way to neuter is thru surgery. Sure it will cost more than this DIY method, but surgery by licensed veterinarians is the only way where infection is prevented and pain is managed while neutering your pets.

Context:

Nirecommend na pasweruhan ayaw, naghahanap ng other “options” at nagrefuse. 2 days nagobserve bago ipavet.

So kelangan namin kayo pilitin?

So much for responsible pet ownership talaga. These days, lagi kami nakakameet ng owners na ganito. Then ibblame ang vet.

At both cases, kelangan namin harapin ang client.

We treat pets. And we also have to deal with these type of clients. At the end of the day, gusto namin lahat ng pumapa*ok na patients gumaling. We based it on the tests we do.

Video below:

Not related to the case. Naxray and diagnose agad ng GDV. Nag-agree agad ang owner kahit nalaman na more than 30k magagastos.

See the difference.

God bless all the veterinarians na nakakaranas ng ganitong scenerios.

Accepting appointments for 2D echo in dogs and cats.

It is the gold standard for identifying conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (common in cats), mitral valve disease (common in dogs), and congenital defects.

We typically recommend an echocardiogram if a pet exhibits:
☑️A heart murmur or irregular rhythm
☑️Clinical signs such as coughing, fainting, or difficulty breathing
☑️Abnormalities detected on an X-ray
☑️A need for pre-anaesthetic evaluation in senior pets

Surgery: Cystotomy to remove bladder stone

The most common signs of bladder stones in dogs are:

blood in the urine (called hematuria) and
straining to urinate (called dysuria).

Large stones may act like a valve, causing a temporary or partial obstruction at the neck of the bladder (the point where the bladder attaches to the urethra).

If an obstruction occurs, the bladder cannot be emptied fully. This condition is an emergency, and is very painful, especially when pressure is applied to the abdomen. If the obstruction is not relieved, the bladder may rupture. A complete obstruction is life-threatening and requires immediate emergency treatment.

There are three main treatment options for bladder stones: surgical removal, non-surgical removal by urohydropropulsion, and dietary dissolution.
