One of the hardest parts of running a dog daycare is that, one day, you receive the kind of news you wish would never come. 😞

Yesterday, I learned that sweet Mochi has passed away at the age of nine.

Mochi stayed with us last February, and I still remember everything about her—her gentle soul, her sweet eyes, her clingy little ways, and how naturally kind she was to every dog she met. She had a quiet way of making everyone around her smile.

Thank you, Mochi, for trusting me with your heart. Thank you for every cuddle, every wag of your tail, every moment you made our home brighter.

To your wonderful fur parents, my sincerest and deepest condolences. Thank you for allowing Dumbo Daycare to become part of Mochi’s journey. It was an honor to care for such a beautiful soul. I know no words can take away your pain, but I hope you find comfort in knowing that Mochi was loved everywhere she went.

Run free now, sweet girl Mochiko.
