โœจWe are delighted to welcome our Animal Biology student interns from WMSU Main Campus, Zamboanga City who will be joining our team for their On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

They will gain hands-on experience in veterinary clinic operations, animal care, laboratory procedures, and client services under the guidance of our veterinary team throughout their training.

We are very excited to be part of their learning journey and help shape the next generation of animal science professionals.

โ™จ๏ธPyometra is a severe, life-threatening bacterial infection of the uterus. It typically occurs in unspayed females due to hormonal changes after heat cycles that create an ideal environment for bacteria to grow.๐Ÿฆ 

Why "Waiting" is Dangerous: ๐Ÿ˜ท

๐Ÿ‘‰Rapid Decline: A dog can go from appearing normal to critical in just 24โ€“72 hours, especially if the infection is "closed" (no visible discharge).
๐Ÿ‘‰Uterine Rupture: Delaying surgery increases the risk of the uterus bursting, spilling pus into the abdomen and causing fatal peritonitis.
๐Ÿ‘‰Organ Failure: Toxins from the infection enter the bloodstream, leading to sepsis and permanent kidney damage.
๐Ÿ‘‰Fertility Myth: Unfortunately, a uterus with pyometra is no longer a healthy environment for puppies. Attempting to breed a dog with this condition is dangerous for both the mother and potential litter.
