‎If your dog spends any time outdoors, please read this. Toad poisoning is a real and fast-moving emergency that can turn fatal within minutes.

‎The most dangerous culprits here in the Philippines:
‎🔴 Asian Common Toad / Black-spined Toad (Duttaphrynus melanostictus) — ang pinakakaraniwang "palaka" sa ating mga bakuran, lalo na pagkatapos ng ulan
‎🟠 Asian Giant Toad / Rough Toad (Phrynoidis asper) — mas malaki, matatagpuan sa mga lugar na malapit sa tubig, bundok, at kagubatan.

‎What happens: Toads secrete a toxic milky substance from their skin. When a dog licks, mouths, or picks up a toad, the toxin absorbs rapidly through the gums.
‎Signs to watch for:
‎• Excessive drooling or foaming at the mouth
