🏆🇵🇭 THREE YOUNG FEMALES. THREE AGE CLASSES. THREE 1ST PLACE RESULTS.

A very proud milestone for Vom Chumens Veedol at the 31st Western Visayas Landesgruppen Show, judged by SV Judge Herr Edgar Pertl.

Our young females achieved 1st Place in three consecutive age divisions:

Our latest imported young female and an important part of our future breeding program.

What makes these results particularly meaningful to me is the story behind them.

Nikita and M. Paula represent another generation of our Philippine breeding. Their dams, Juliet and Julia, are litter sisters from our own program. Now their daughters, produced with different sires, have both earned 1st Place in their respective classes under an SV judge.

Abby represents the other side of our program—the continued introduction of carefully selected European bloodlines that we hope will complement and strengthen the generations we are developing here.

This is what breeding means to us.

Not simply producing one good dog, but trying to build families of German Shepherds that consistently carry forward correct type, anatomy, movement, temperament and working ability.

They are still young. There is much growing, training and evaluation ahead, and one show never defines a breeding program.

But today, we are grateful for an encouraging indication that we are moving in the right direction.

From being recognized as 2025 Best Kennel of the Year by GSDF, to developing our Philippine-bred Imelda vom Chumens Veedol to IGP1, and now watching the next generation begin their own journey—we remain committed to the same objective:

Breed better than the generation before.

Playful. Curious. Always moving.

-At just 6 weeks old, everything is still developing — but even now, you can already begin to see the story forming.

These young females show the first signs of natural movement — light, playful, and free. At this stage, it’s not about power yet, but about coordination, balance, and instinctive rhythm. The topline is still soft, the steps still growing into themselves — exactly as they should be.

Their pigmentation is already coming through nicely, with clear contrast and developing richness that will deepen with time.

In character, they are exactly what we look for —
playful, curious, confident, and engaged with their surroundings. This early temperament is just as important as structure — it’s the foundation of a complete German Shepherd.

Behind them are bloodlines we trust and believe in:
• Burg Aliso – known for type, balance, and overall harmony
• Pendler – bringing strength, substance, and working character
• Lausitzer Seenland – recognized for movement, elasticity, and correct structure

11 Weeks Old | Male Puppy — Chumens × Veedol
At 11 weeks, we are not looking for finished structure or titles — we are observing foundation traits: confidence, coordination, prey engagement, and the natural will to interact with the environment.
In this short clip, the male puppy is introduced to a prey pillow and allowed to engage, bite, and win the prey. At this age, the goal is not pressure, hardness, or control — but drive expression and confidence.
What we want to see at this stage:
✔️ Willingness to engage
✔️ Calm, confident grip for his age
✔️ Desire to possess and win the prey
✔️ No avoidance, no hesitation
✔️ Positive recovery and curiosity
This is play-based development, not training. There is no assessment of protection work at 11 weeks — only observation of natural prey behavior and nerve stability.
Structure, movement, and final evaluation will come later as the puppy matures. For now, we focus on correct development, balanced exposure, and letting the puppy grow mentally and physically at his own pace.
Slow development done correctly always beats rushed promises.
