WOW😲
Junior, 21lb is a Continental Giant rabbit and currently weighs the same as three chihuahuas.
The German Giant topples over two-year-old Suzi – a Netherland Dwarf rabbit – who only weighs 1lb and a half and she can nap under one of Junior’s ears.
Animal-obsessed owner Lyn Hobson, 66, says Junior, two, and Suzi are “spoiled” and have their own room in her three-bed house – and a sandpit outside.
Lyn, a chef, from Winteringham, Lincolnshire, said: “They’re spoiled.
“They’ve got their own little room, they’ve got a sandpit outside which they absolutely love, and tunnels.”
Lyn isn’t a stranger to owning the large rabbit breed – previously adoring 20lb Jester before he passed away 2023.
The little and large duo have been with Lyn for three years now after she got them from a friend in South Shields, and have been treated with all a rabbit could want.
The pair have their own bedroom – with their own litter box in their room, and are well trained and never make a mess.
Lyn grows food for the pair in the back garden, and feeds them a range of vegetables, sometimes dehydrated, including broccoli, parsnips, carrots, and lettuce.
Lyn said: “They never chew anything they’re not supposed to because they’re content.”
The biggest mess only comes when they need to be groomed, as Junior makes a “mountain” of hair, as he has to be brushed for 45 mins every week.
And despite Junior towering over Suzi – Lyn says the tiny bunny is in charge.
She said: “Junior is so laid back, I call him a goofball.
“If Suzi is in his [Junior’s] way he just gently pushes her with his nose, but if it’s the other way around and he is in Suzi’s way then she pounces on him.”
The pair also love to cuddle up on the sofa watching football and supporting Liverpool F.C.
Suzi and Junior have also helped out with a range of charities and Lyn works as an ambassador helping raise awareness for several animal rights charities and shelters.
She said: “They like any football to be fair.
“They’ve got their own little sofa.
“He (Junior) puts his long ear over Suzi.”
Lyn is raising awareness of the importance of hay in a rabbit’s diet and Junior and Suzi help raise money for sick rabbits with Rabbit Savior.
