🐐💙 SUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY SURGERY CASE ON OUR UNUSUAL PATIENT 💙🐐

Our patient, Regeen, a 2-year-old Native Goat, was brought to our clinic due to difficulty giving birth (dystocia). According to the owner, Regeen had been in labor for several hours with no baby coming out, which immediately raised concern.

Although our clinic mainly focuses on small animals such as dogs and cats, we also cater to farm animals like goats, especially during emergency cases where immediate medical attention is needed.

Upon examination, X-ray was performed and revealed that the baby was in a breech position, making normal delivery impossible and life-threatening for Regeen.

Doc Miko and his team immediately performed an emergency Cesarean section (C-section). During surgery, the stillborn baby was successfully removed. Multiple lacerations were also found in Regeen’s uterus, which placed her life at even greater risk. To save her life, an emergency ovariohysterectomy (removal of the uterus and ovaries) was performed.

After a month of treatment, medications, and recovery, we are happy to share that Regeen is now active, healthy, and back to her normal life. 🐐✨

Thank you to Regeen’s owner for trusting our team during this critical situation. Cases like this remind us how important immediate veterinary care is during emergencies.
