Having pets can bring a multitude of benefits to your life 🙀

There are many benefits to having a pet in your family. There are numerous reasons having a pet is so wonderful. Here are some of the reasons why👇🏻

1. Reducing Stress
Modern life is stressful and high levels of anxiety can lead to numerous health problems. Luckily, pets can help us relax – stroking your cat or simply watching fish swim around in a tank can make your worries melt away. Previous studies have proven that pet owners tend to have lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels than people who don’t own a pet. That means having a furry pal can decrease the chances of suffering a heart attack later in life.
2. Physical Activity and Playfulness
All breeds of dogs need regular, daily walks to stay happy and healthy, and so do we! However, we sometimes tend to get a bit lazy – if that sounds like you, a dog is the perfect cure! They’ll be dragging you out the front door and making you run around the park every day. Yes, a dog is possibly the best personal trainer you could ask for.
3. Companionship
Children with autism and similar learning disorders often find it difficult to talk to fellow human beings, but they have no problem at all with chatting away with friendly animals. After all, your pets can’t answer back and will always keep your secrets!
4. Social Support
Having a dog gets you outside, where you’ll naturally find yourself interacting and engaging with your community regularly. For example, pets can function as social icebreakers, says Nancy R. Gee, Ph.D., a professor of psychiatry and Bill Balaban Chair in Human-Animal Interaction at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. “For many, pets serve as social capital in neighborhoods and communities,” says Dr. Gee. “They precipitate the exchange of favors and encourage civic engagement.” This may be especially meaningful to introverts, or people who have difficulty striking up a conversation with new people.
“Other observational studies have found that walking with a dog in public increases how often we receive social interactions and social acknowledgments, such as friendly glances and smiles,” says Gee.
5. Improve Self-Esteem
Not everyone likes being home alone, but having a cat or dog there can make you feel a lot safer. Plus, burglars are less likely to target a house that’s home to a dog. Some breeds make excellent guard dogs and will even protect you when you’re out for a run or walk.

With all these benefits, it's no wonder why so many people choose to bring pets into their lives! 🥰👏🏻
Let's treat them with LOVE!!! 🥰❤️
