Barbielat came to us as a rescue in the middle of a nightmare: a stillbirth (fetal death inside the womb) followed by a critical uterine infection. Urgent surgery was her only hope.

Today, she is safe. Her rescuer’s gratitude says it all, but honestly? We’re the ones who are grateful. We believe God uses rescuers, pet parents, and veterinarians as a team to protect His creatures.

We have some wonderful news to share about Mellow. After a scary bout with a urinary blockage and hematuria (bloody urine), he is officially on the mend.

Here is his progress report:
•Clear Skies: After being catheterized to relieve the blockage, his urine has finally cleared up!
•Healthy Appetite: He has gone from refusing food to eating all on his own again.🥰

​A few days ago, Celes wasn't her usual self. Her family noticed she was lethargic and had a very low appetite. Things took a serious turn when they noticed a mucoid, bloody vaginal discharge—a major red flag for any female dog.

🧑‍⚕️​The Diagnosis
​Upon arrival at the clinic, Dr. Angela acted fast. Suspecting a serious uterine infection, she suggested an immediate ultrasound, which confirmed our fears: Pyometra.

🦠What is Pyometra? It is a life-threatening infection of the uterus that requires urgent surgical intervention. It’s a race against time to prevent the infection from spreading or the uterus from rupturing.

💖​The Recovery
​Celes was rushed into emergency surgery. Thanks to the quick thinking of our medical team and Celes' own strength, the surgery was a complete success!

​Today, Celes visited us for her follow-up appointment and suture removal. We are thrilled to report that she is healing beautifully and is officially cleared to get back to her favorite activities!

Understanding FIP

Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) was once considered a 100% FATAL diagnosis for cats. It is caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus. It is a complex viral disease that every cat owner should be aware of:
