He gave himself a cutoff for investing his own money ⏱️

A ball python at seven is the reason his son is in college 🎓

His best investment ever: the Dreamsicle project 🍊

Ron says it helped with branding, marketing and establishing himself, because he was one of the few producing them locally on the island. Ralph Davis's numbers were more than he could commit to, so he worked his way up through hets, and the Lavenders paid for it before he ever got to Dreamsicles.

Shiny ball syndrome is real, and it's where the pitfalls start 🎱

Ron says adding to a project is like walking into a buffet: you fill the plate and can't finish the first serving. His advice to new breeders is to hyper-focus. Going for triples and doubles with six animals is never going to happen, or maybe in 20 years if you get insanely lucky.
