How to Get Rid of Fleas on Your Cat or Dog Using Simple, Natural Methods… 🥰
🛁 1. Bath with Neutral Soap:
Wash your pet with warm water and a neutral soap (such as baby soap or castile soap). The fleas will easily come off with the water, and the soap will help eliminate them. Use a flea comb to remove dead fleas from the fur.
🌿 2. Apple Cider Vinegar:
Combine equal parts water and apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle. Gently spray your pet's fur, avoiding the eye area. The aroma and acidity of the vinegar are effective at repelling fleas.
🍋 3. Lemon Spray:
Boil lemon slices in water, let it cool, and strain the mixture. Spray your pet with this natural solution, as lemon has repellent properties.
🌸 4. Essential oils (with caution):
Lavender, citronella, or eucalyptus oils can be helpful in keeping fleas away, but they should be used diluted (a few drops in water) and never on cats, as they are sensitive to many essential oils.
🧼 5. Deep cleaning your home:
Vacuum carpets and furniture, and wash your pets' beds with hot water. Apply baking soda or salt to carpets before vacuuming to dehydrate fleas and their eggs.
🌱 6. Diatomaceous Earth:
Sprinkle food-grade diatomaceous earth in areas where your pet spends most of its time. This natural product kills fleas by dehydrating them, but make sure your pet doesn't inhale it.
