Not all hair loss stories stay hairless.

This dog came to AVCI with severe Alopecia X, a condition that can cause major coat loss and requires patience, consistency, and proper veterinary guidance.

But the real hero here? A pet owner who did not give up.

Not every weak, quiet kitten is dealing with just one problem.

This cat was managed at AVCI for a serious combination of FPV, feline coronavirus, and Giardia — a challenging “triple threat” that can affect strength, appetite, hydration, digestion, and overall recovery.

With proper assessment, targeted supportive care, and close inpatient monitoring, our team focused on helping the patient regain strength, improve hydration, support appetite, and recover more comfortably.

The improvement seen in this case is a reminder that proper diagnostics and consistent medical care can make a big difference, especially when more than one illness is involved.

Not every rabbit concern is just shedding, dirt, or a bad hare day.

Hair loss, itching, wounds, crusting, discharge, swelling, weakness, poor appetite, or sudden behavior changes may point to a skin problem, parasites, irritation, wounds, or a suspected infection that needs proper veterinary assessment.

Not all cute skin folds are harmless.

Some dogs are born with facial features that make them look extra adorable — but for certain breeds, those same folds can push the eyelids inward and cause the lashes or skin to rub against the eyes.
Over time, this can lead to discomfort, tearing, squinting, eye irritation, or even damage to the surface of the eye.
In this case, surgery was performed to help the eyelid sit in a better position, giving the eye more comfort and protection. Because sometimes, the problem is not the pet’s behavior. It is their anatomy.

At AVCI, we help pets whose “unfortunate cuteness” may be causing them pain — so they can see, blink, and live more comfortably. 🐾

Whether your pet needs a check-up, vaccination, deworming, follow-up care, laboratory tests, or treatment, you may visit the AVCI branch nearest you.

Walk-ins are welcome and clients are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Not every strong mother can deliver naturally—
and that is not failure.

Sometimes, the safest way to protect both the mother and her babies is through a caesarean section.

When labor is taking too long, no baby is being delivered, or the mother is already weakening, immediate veterinary attention may be needed.

Because in some cases, danger is not always loud—
but it is already happening.
When labor does not seem to progress normally, early assessment is strongly advised.

Not every injured limb can still be saved — but the patient still can.

This female cat was brought to AVCI with a severely damaged right hind leg that had already developed a serious infection. At that point, the safest and kindest way to help her was to remove the affected limb and stop the pain and infection from getting worse.

Her surgery was successful, and this gave her a better chance at a more comfortable life.

While amputation may sound scary, it can sometimes be the best way to save a patient and help them heal. Cats can also adapt surprisingly well after losing a limb.

At AVCI, our goal is always to do what gives each patient the best chance at comfort, recovery, and quality of life.
