Not every aggressive dog needs the same approach.
Fear-based aggression and dominant/confident aggression can look similar on the surface, but the underlying motivation can be very different.
With a genetically fearful dog, the first step is often building trust and confidence. Before meaningful corrections can be effective, the dog needs to understand that the trainer is someone it can trust and work with. That process can take time.
A confident, dominant-type dog may respond much sooner to clear boundaries and appropriate corrections because the dog is not operating from the same fear-based mindset.
Thatโs why we donโt believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to aggression.
We evaluate the individual dog, identify what is driving the behavior, and adjust the training accordingly.
Different dogs. Different causes. Different approaches.
