Six tiny lives were waiting for a chance… and so was their mother. ☀️🐱

This is Sunlight.

She was brought to our clinic after experiencing prolonged nesting without making any progress. Time was becoming critical, and after evaluating her condition, we knew she needed immediate surgery.

An emergency cesarean section was performed, and one by one, six beautiful kittens were safely delivered into the world.

To help safeguard Sunlight’s future health and prevent further reproductive complications, the procedure also included an en bloc ovariohysterectomy, removing her reproductive organs during the same surgery.

The best part? Sunlight recovered well and was able to go home with all six of her kittens by her side. ❤️

Not every pregnancy follows the same path. While many mothers deliver naturally, others may need timely veterinary intervention. Recognizing when labor isn’t progressing normally can make all the difference.

🚨 Not Every Case of Bloody Diarrhea Is “Just an Upset Stomach.” 🚨

If your dog suddenly develops profuse bloody diarrhea, repeated vomiting, extreme weakness, or refuses to eat, it could be a medical emergency such as Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis (HGE).

⚠️ HGE can lead to rapid dehydration and shock, sometimes within just a few hours if left untreated.

Watch for these warning signs:
🐾 Large amounts of bloody diarrhea
🐾 Frequent vomiting
🐾 Loss of appetite
🐾 Weakness or collapse
🐾 Signs of dehydration (dry gums, sunken eyes)

💉 Early diagnosis and prompt treatment with intravenous fluids and supportive care can significantly improve your pet’s chances of recovery.

Don’t wait for the symptoms to worsen. If your pet is showing any of these signs, seek veterinary attention as soon as possible.

🐸⚠️ DID YOUR PET LICK OR BITE A TOAD? ACT IMMEDIATELY!

Toad toxins can be absorbed through the gums and mouth very quickly. Affected pets may develop:

• Excessive drooling or foaming
• Pawing at the mouth
• Bright red or pale gums
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Tremors or seizures
• Difficulty breathing
• Sudden weakness or collapse

🚨 What to do: Carefully rinse or wipe the mouth with clean water, keeping your pet’s head tilted downward so water does not enter the throat. Do not force water into the mouth. Bring your pet to a veterinarian immediately—even if the symptoms appear to improve.
