I stopped along the dark mountain highway when I heard a puppy crying.
It came from the water drain beside the road, about 3-4 feet below.
I was worried of snakes or crawlies below, but I mustered the strength to go down and rescue the puppy.
Then from the garbage area, out came another puppy.

How can humans be too cruel to dump them in this place ?
Houses are few and far between.
I just can't leave them there.
This is why we decline taking in more because we ourselves see for ourselves animals needing rescue.

A family and their friends stayed overnight in our glamping tents, played music with their guitars.
With them to stay are their plush monkeys ( they are so cute love).
Here at Mama's Cradle Animal Sanctuary, people bring anything and anyone close to their hearts.

The purpose of life....

One of my helpers and assistant with the sick and under medication rescyes is on a 3 week leave in the Visayas.
It will be me and one trainee to handle the areas for the special rescues.

I need to recruit maybe 2 or 3 more helpers so I can be more productive, as well as not push my body to do more taxing chores.

With all these, I find comfort and joy being with my furbabies, cradled by the beautiful nature. The beautiful sunset is a sight for tired eyes, plus the landscape here in this piece of heaven where rescued animals live and are loved,
fills my heart with hope.

We are family...
I got all my sisters with me.

Miss Brownie is very sweet to Ate Marie, a paralyzed rescue who learned how to use her legs to stand up and walk, even run.

They may not be littermates, but growing up here at Mama's Cradle Animal Sanctuary for years created a sister-like bond.

One of our helpers is on a 3 week leave.
I am now training one of our new staff with medications, treatment and handling of cats and dogs under treatment or maintenance.
One of our cats under meds is Grey.
We had him rescued and CARA Welfare Philippines through founder Nancy Cu Unjieng, had himundergo treatment and confinement for FIP virus. He was in a bad state then.
Grey is now here at Mama's Cradle Animal Sanctuary after his viral treatments and continue with his meds here. We are extremely grateful that Grey survived.

He is a very handsome and sweet boy and we wish him more happy years. We still hope for a good loving home for Grey, but until we find one, he will be loved here.

CARCAR UPDATE

Carcar, the cat whose was h@cked by a blunt long knife ( itak) on the head that br○ke his skull is now ready for discharge.
Thank you to all who gave help and prayed for Carcar.
I thank the vets and staff of Happy Barn Vet Clinic for the medical assistance and care you gave Carcar. Thank you for accomodating our requests even at odd hours.
Thank you for the big heart.

To the furparents of Carcar, thank you for the love for Carcar despite the financial concerns. Thank you for deciding to fight for Carcar and filing the case.
I will be with you in this all the way.

This is an experience of people getting together, hearts beating as one to help and save an animal that was a victim of a human's cruelty.

Duchess Daisy ( formerly Baby Girl, our blind rescued shihtzu ) is so blessed to have wonderful parents who give her the best of everything.
Thank you, Sam and Sumo, for the big hearts you gave to Miss Daisy.
Our lil Miss Daisy walks as if she is not blind at all.
This is what live and trust do. ❤️

This weak puppy was left uphill from Mama's Cradle Animal Sanctuary, reported to me by one of my assistants, Regie, while I was driving yesterday.
I just hope and pray this puppy makes it.
