“I WAS AFRAID,
I WAS SCARED TOO...”

When you handed me your pet,
you were afraid she might not make it.
I was afraid too.

I was afraid the surgery might fail.
Afraid something might go wrong.
Afraid that after everything we did,
she might not make it home alive.

But you saw me as the surgeon.
The one who was supposed to know what to do.
The one you trusted when you had nowhere else to turn.
What you didn't see was the human behind the mask—
the one silently hoping, praying, and fighting for your pet just as hard as you were.

I cannot promise that every surgery will succeed.
I cannot promise that every patient will survive.

But I can promise that while your pet is on my table, I will never stop fighting for her.
Some patients go home wagging their tails.
Some never get to walk through that door again.

And when they don't…
It hurt's us too...

Because veterinary surgeons are not fearless.
We are simply human beings who learned to be brave while holding the lives you love in our hands. ❤️🐾

Again we are HUMANS TOO...

Dok pag ba namatay after surgery kelangan pa bang bayaran???

Yes, you are paying for the medical expenses and services, not the guarantee.

A Gentle Reminder About Veterinary Surgery.

When we perform surgery, we don’t just treat a patient—we care for someone’s beloved family member. Before every procedure, we explain the risks, possible complications, and even the possibility of losing the patient.

When an owner chooses to proceed, it is because they understand those risks and hope for the best possible outcome. Sadly, sometimes, despite every effort and every precaution, a patient may not survive.

A heartbreaking outcome does not erase the care, expertise, medications, anesthesia, equipment, and resources that were provided. The bill is for the medical care and services rendered—not for a guaranteed outcome.

We grieve with you when we lose a patient. We truly do. But please remember: we cannot always guarantee the outcome, only our commitment to give every patient the best care we can.

Thinking outside the box😀

This 14 year old patient needed something different, a surgery that is not the usual type!
Her mammary chain was used to cover a wound defect caused by a tumor.

WE DON’T NEED TO MARKET OURSELVES.
OUR WORK DOES IT FOR US.
(CTTO picture)

In a world where everyone can advertise,
reputation is still earned.

We don’t measure our practice by how loud our marketing is, but by the patients entrusted to our hands, the outcomes we relentlessly pursue, and the clients who travel great distances because someone they trust recommended us.

No paid advertisement can replace that.
When a client tells another family,
“When my pet needed surgery, this is where I went.”

That is our marketing.
That is our reputation.
That is our standard.

Do your job well,
and your clients will market it for you.
We simply continue to do what we believe in:
Precision. Experience. Commitment. Excellence.

Because the strongest reputation isn’t something you advertise.
It’s something others speak about when you’re not in the room.

SOCIAL MEDIA JUSTICE???

I was judged too.

Not by the thousands of patients who survived, healed, and went home to their families.

But by one patient who died.

One case became enough for people to judge my character, my skills, and my dedication—people who have never met me, never worked beside me, and never witnessed the countless hours, sleepless nights, difficult decisions, and sacrifices behind every surgery.

They don’t know me.

They only know one story.

And perhaps that is the painful reality of social media justice: people can pass judgment on a life’s work without ever knowing the person behind it.

Yes, every patient matters. Every loss hurts. Every surgical complication deserves to be examined.

But one unfortunate outcome does not erase thousands of successful cases.

I will continue to learn. I will continue to improve. And most importantly, I will continue to fight for every patient entrusted to my care.

Because I know who I am—not because of what strangers say about me online, but because of the lives I have dedicated myself to saving.

Judge the case if you must.
But before you judge the person, take the time to know the story.

When I became a dangerous VET.

- Dok baket ayaw mo na kami iconsult???

THE COURAGE TO SAY: “I’M NOT THE BEST PERSON FOR THIS CASE.”

Being a veterinary surgeon does not mean we should accept every case simply because a patient needs help.

When your expertise is primarily in surgery, taking on complicated medical cases beyond your area of training—without sufficient knowledge, experience, or support—can sometimes do more harm than good.
( I don't imaging, nor internal medicine and dermatology)

Knowing when to treat, when to ask for help, and when to refer is not a weakness. It is professionalism.

This does not mean a veterinary surgeon should refuse to see patients with conditions outside his or her specialty. Sometimes, we can still help—by providing an initial assessment, stabilizing the patient, offering appropriate advice, or working together with a veterinarian whose expertise is better suited to the case.

At the end of the day, our responsibility is not to prove that we can handle everything. Our responsibility is to do what is best for the patient.

A great veterinary surgeon knows how to operate.

A truly great veterinarian also knows when not to. Because ultimately, the patient comes first—not our ego.
