"Matahol siya. Medyo matapang at minsan nangangagat."

Last-minute booking.
First time ko ma-meet ang dogs.
Less than 30 minutes to assess their behavior bago mag-start ang ceremony.

One of the dogs was highly reactive, kaya I needed to learn as much as I could about the important details para mas ma-assist ang furbabies.

Here's my POV of how I handled this event. Part 1 pa lang po tayo. 😁

“Buti na lang nakita kita sa TikTok.” - Groom

A last-minute booking as a Wedding Pet Handler.

They wanted their furbabies to be part of their wedding but were worried na walang magha-handle sa kanila dahil busy lahat ng family members & guests sa event.

And here we are. 🥺
I'm so proud that these babies got to be part of their parents' once in a lifetime event. 🙏

Sa dami ng kailangang isipin ng pet owners during wedding preparation or events, madalas may makakalimutan talaga para sa furbaby.

Kaya dito rin papa*ok ang need for Event Pet Handlers.

Kung ang coordinators ang naka-focus sa pag-assist sa couple at sa overall flow ng event, ang pet handlers naman ang naka-focus sa needs ng furbabies.

I thought I was testing the market. Turns out, the market was already there.

“Wedding Pet Attendant” is already an existing service in other countries, and there are also several pet sitters here in the Philippines who have been offering similar services for years.

Showing the behind-the-scenes and the reality of handling pets at weddings, debuts, and prenups is our way to create more awareness about Event Pet Handling.

We want to show pet owners that there are ways to include your furbabies in some of the most important moments of your lives.

And for our fellow pet sitters, we also want to show that pet care can branch out into events and create new opportunities.

This may still be a new category within the events industry, but for us, it's something bigger than just a service.

It's another opportunity to advocate for something I've always believed in:

Pets are family.

And they should be treated as such. 🤍

Being an event pet handler does not mean we only handle the dogs.

Part of the job is also learning how to work and coordinate with other wedding suppliers, especially photographers and videographers.

Knowing when to step in, when to give space, and how to work together as a team, so we can make sure na maayos at maganda ang appearance ng furbabies.

I honestly had no idea kung paano ang flow ng prenup, gaano ito katagal, at kung anong assistance ang kailangan from a pet handler.

So this post is also to appreciate Sir Vince & Sir Law’s team. 🤍

Meet & Greet lang sana, naging prenup handling na. 💗

Ano nga ba ang gagawin ng pet handlers during prenup shoot?

Same with weddings.

Kami ang iintindi sa dogs habang busy ang photo-video team and the couple.

Kami rin ang maga-assist for photo appearance ng furbabies.

And for this first shoot, kasama pala talaga sa trabaho ang maghabol ng a*o. 🤣🤣

Kaya mas mataas ang potential risks for pets during events compared to in-home sitting.

That's why Meet & Greet is an important part our of preparation and risk management process.

Dito namin sini-set ang expectations, kinikilala ang pets at pina-plano ang paghandle sa furbaby throughout the event.
