Paano kayo nagsimula as Wedding Pet Handlers?

"Paano maging pet handler?"

"Sinubukan ko naman mag-offer kaso wala talagang tumatanggap sa'kin."

"May experience naman ako sa pet sitting kaso di ko talaga alam kung paano."

These are some of the messages/comments I've been receiving on our Wedding Pet Handling BTS posts.

If you have to know how I went through this, it's just:

1 year na puro rejection from potential clients ang inabot ko.

1 year na puro send ng quotation at ang reply lang,
"Ang mahal naman ng charge mo." (through PetBacker)

1 year na puro duda lang ang narinig ko.

Kaya kung nare-reject po kayo or di pinapansin proposals nyo, normal lang po talaga yun. ☺️

If this would somehow make you feel better, please know na hanggang ngayon, nare-reject pa rin po ako. 😅

And what do I do?
I move on. May next client pa. 💗

Paano nyo i-handle ang aggressive dogs?

One of the most common questions we get as Wedding/Event Pet Handlers.

Ms. Nats and I shared what we’ve experienced during events and kung bakit mahalagang maintindihan namin ang behavior at personality ng dogs na dadalhin namin.

As much as we would love to see more dogs at weddings, our priority will always be the safety and well-being of everyone involved, including the dogs themselves.

Remember, pet owners: even the friendliest dog can become reactive, fearful, or overwhelmed when overstimulated.

How do pet handlers bring the pets to the church?

Here are our three available options for our furparents:

1. Pet Transport Service
We can arrange a dedicated pet transport service at an additional cost, depending on the location and time needed.

2. Ride with the Family
We can accompany the pets and travel to the church with the assigned family members using their arranged transportation.

3. GrabPet / InDrive
We can accompany the pets through a pet-friendly ride-hailing service, with the transportation cost charged separately.

For this wedding setup:
We booked GrabPet to bring the dogs to the church, where they were accompanied by their Pet Handlers.

Church Venue:
📍St. Joseph the Worker Parish Church, SJDM, Bulacan

For this church, pets were not allowed to join the entourage but were allowed inside the church for a photo appearance.

Bride & Groom's first look with their furbabies (Behind the Scenes)

This was our bride's request: to include their furbabies for their first look appearance.

Aside from showing you the reality of what goes beyond the photos and videos, we're also showing you the importance of your pets' temperaments, dahil hindi lang kaming pet handlers ang makakasalamuha nila on the day itself.

Sanay sila Pichi, Snowball, and Chicky sa maraming tao and kids, kaya we never had to worry about any triggers during this part of the day.

Meet Ate Chicky, Pichi & Snowball.

From their furparents' first look to ceremony family photos, their babies were there to celebrate and make the day even more special.

Thank you, Sheila & Matthew, for trusting us with your furbabies on your big day.

Gustong kasama ang furbabies sa wedding celebration? 💍

Here are some tips para makasama rin ang furbabies niyo on your big day:

1. Make sure na pet-friendly ang lahat ng venues.
Check if pets are allowed sa preparation area, church, and reception venue.

2. Ask the church if they allow furbabies to be part of the entourage.
Every church has different rules, so better to ask ahead of time.

3. Make sure na may comfortable holding area for your furbabies.
Ideally, may safe and quiet space where they can rest before and after their appearances.

For this wedding celebration, the ceremony and reception were held in one venue, making it easier for their furbabies to be part of the celebration.

They also got to make appearances during the ceremony and post-nup photos, as shown in our behind-the-scenes footage. 🐶🤍

"Matahol siya. Medyo matapang at minsan nangangagat."

Last-minute booking.
First time ko ma-meet ang dogs.
Less than 30 minutes to assess their behavior bago mag-start ang ceremony.

One of the dogs was highly reactive, kaya I needed to learn as much as I could about the important details para mas ma-assist ang furbabies.

Here's my POV of how I handled this event. Part 1 pa lang po tayo. 😁
