Meet Babsi, a 2-year-old pug who was brought to us dealing with a chronic vaginal prolapse. For a long time, the prolapse would fluctuate in size, but this time, the swelling refused to subside.

Our team initially attempted a manual reduction, but due to the severity of the chronic swelling, it was unsuccessful. To give Babsi a permanent solution and prevent future complications, we proceeded with a surgical intervention: a spay, vaginal resection, and purse-string suturing. Just one week post-op, her swelling has significantly subsided, and she is recovering beautifully!

💡𝙑𝙁𝘾 𝙏𝙞𝙥: Vaginal prolapse is a condition that can affect intact (unspayed) female dogs, especially during their heat cycles. Spaying is one of the most effective ways to prevent this and other serious reproductive health issues.
