After the rainstorm comes the Leptospirosis🐀

Leptospirosis- is a zoonotic diseases, meaning it can transfer to humans thru contact with body fluids (especially blood and urine) with or without an open wound.

Signs and Sypmtoms:
• loss of appetite
• lethargy and weakness
• vomiting and mucoid stool
• dark yellow urine (with blood in severe cases)
• jaundice (yellowing of skin, eyes and mucous membranes)

WHAT TO DO?
• Bring your dog to your nearest and trusted vet clinic. DON’T do self medication!!!
• Don’t rely to internet or online consultations.
• Do all the necessary laboratories as a guide for their treatment plan.
• Confinement is best option. If unable due to financial capability buy all the prescribe meds for home medication.
• Disinfect your home and do rat control. Update your dog’s vaccines.

Prognosis (Expectation):
• Unfortunately POOR and Life Threatening.
