IMPORTANT FISH KEEPING TIPS REMASTERED #7

Title: Aquariums and Typhoons

Typhoons in the Philippines can occur any time of the year. Approximately 20 tropical cyclones enter the Philippine area of responsibility yearly.

But what does it connect to our dear aquariums?

We all know that typhoons can cause power outages and floods in your areas. So what are the things to keep in mind when typhoons are enraging your areas?

1. Battery Operated Air Pumps

It is essential to have a battery operated pump ready for your aquariums especially in water agitated dependent fishes. Some fishes are fine without air pumps but several ornamental fishes do. So always keep and be ready for pumps in your tanks.

2. Decrease your feeding.

Cold weathers. Power outages. Slow metabolism. This may kill your fish. Make sure to lessen the feeding to avoid ammonia poisoning to your fishes

3. Make sure your aquarium is in a strong and stable stand.

As floods ravages inside your home. Aquariums must be in a stable and strong stand, to avoid accidents and breaking your aquariums.

4. Save yourself and family first.
Make sure to keep yourself and family first. As a catastrophe happens, always keep in mind that the lives of everything must always be first.

5. Always be ready.
Being ready is the best prevention for all the things when typhoons are entering. Always keep in mind that it's better to be safe than sorry.
