Red Terror Cichlid
Price : Php 450

Scientific Name: Amphilophus Festae
Diet: Omnivore
Breeding: Substrate Spawner
Temperament: Aggressive
Maximum Size: 12"

A stunningly beautiful fish that is also highly aggressive and absolutely intolerant of other fish species. This fish gets rather large so an aquarium of at least 120 gallons is recommended. Also, the true Red Terror is often mistaken for the Mayan cichlid...Cichlasoma uropthalmus. The easiest way to distinguish the two is that the second vertical bars will form a Y on the upper portion of the body on Amphilophus festae. All bars on Cichlasoma uropthalmus are strictly vertical and will not intersect.

Electric Blue Acara
Price: 100 Php

Size: 1-2"
Diet: Omnivore
Breeding: Substrate Spawner
Temperament: Peaceful
Maximum Size: 6"

The Electric Blue Acara (Andinoacara pulcher) is a stunning color variety of the Blue Acara cichlid that is native to Trinidad and Tobogo and parts of Venezuela. The Blue Acara is found in found throughout Central and South America from Panama to Columbia.

Blue Acara are an adaptable species that are found in a variety of habitats, from murky still waters to flowing clear water rivers and streams. Electric Blue Acara are best housed in a densely planted 55 gallon or larger aquarium with a soft, sandy or fine gravel substrate, some driftwood branches, and some floating plants to provide shade. Wild Blue Acara are avid diggers so plants such as Anubias spp. or java fern that can be attached to the decor stand a better chance of survival. Electric Blue Acara and their wild cousins can be quite sensitive to deteriorating water quality, so an efficient biological filter and regular water changes are mandatory. A canister filter system is a good choice for this species.

WILD CAUGHT

Price: Php 3000
Size: 3-5"

Scientific Name: Satanoperca daemon
Geo. Origin: Colombia & Venezuela
Habitat: Calm Pools and Backwaters
Diet: Omnivore
Breeding: Substrate Spawner
Temperament: Peaceful
Maximum Size: 12"

The diet of S. daemon should follow that of the other species of spotted demonfish, small, easily chewed food items fed several times a day. Frozen brineshrimp, frozen bloodworms are good staples to use. Flakes and soaked pellets can also be included in the diet. Success has been achieved with using a green pea/krill based gelatin food. Satanoperca daemon is a "modified" substrate spawner in that it covers over the eggs with woody debris. Newly hatched larvae are left uncovered. Unfortunately, it has rarely been bred in the aquarium and successful raising of the fry is even rarer than that. This is not a fish for the new hobbyist.

Price: Php 150
Size: 1-1.5"

Scientific Name: Amphilophus citrinellum (Barred)
Common Name(s): Midas Cichlid
Geo. Origin: Nicaragua, the Atlantic side of Costa-Rica
Diet: Omnivore
Breeding: Substrate Spawner
Maximum Size: 16"

A very popular New World fish. Closely related to A. labiatus, (Red Devil Cichlid) so keeping recommendations will be the same for both species. Different variations in color for the Midas Cichlid have resulted in Banded, all Gold, Red/Silver and Gold mottled and even a 'combination' of these called 'piebald'. Males will grow a bit longer in length than the females of this species, and are much more powerfully built, with a large growing bulge on the forehead being the norm called a 'Nuchal' hump. A single 'Wet Pet' fish can be kept successfully in 75 gallon tanks. Successfully keeping and spawning these highly aggressive, powerful fish, once adult sizes are achieved, is best attempted with the 'partial divider' method in six foot long tanks, to protect the females from male aggression. Highly variable personality traits in individual fish may make this protective precaution unnecessary, if the male is proven over the long-term, to be calmer and more peaceful in disposition toward the female.

Price: Php 200
Size: 1-1.5"
Stock: 10pcs

Scientific Name: Neolamprologus leleupi (Yellow)
Common Name: Leleupi / Lemon Cichlid
Habitat: Shallow Precipitous Rocky Habitat
Diet: Carnivore
Breeding: Cave Spawner
Maximum Size: 5-6"

N. leleupi comes from Lake Tanganyika and consequently need rather hard and alkaline water. Lake Tanganyika has a pH between 7.8 and 9.0, depending upon the location and time of year. They are collected from several locations along both the east and west coasts of the lake, and particularly from Bulu Point, Tanzania and Bemba, Zaire. Not all N. leleupi are orange or yellow. Even though the yellowish orange variant is signifcantly more abundant in the lake, two other color morphs are not infrequently seen occupying the same habitats: silvery-beige and brownish-black.
