From my original medical intervention in dogs : The Non Surgical Treatment of Proptosis in Dog, I modified the protocol suited for Feline species. I am glad the eyeball was back to the orbit or eye socket.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

What's in this dog who hurdle 2 deadliest diseases in Canine Medicine. Is it pure luck?
April 18, 2014- he was confined in myclinic suffering from Canine Parvovirus recovered after 4 days of asymptomatic treatment.

Year later, June 4, 2015, the owner Lance Agravante, brought this dog, Fiber, for consultation. Now he was suffering from Canine Distemper- Nervous Type . Because the prognosis and survival rate is zilch, I advised the owner that he treat the dog at home.

As clinic routine I do not confine patient diagnosed with CD because the disease is highly contagious. It is fatal with zero recovery rate which will dry up my client finances if confined for dozens of days. I advised the owner what to the home method with my Rx.

August 14, 2015- the owner brought Fiber again for check up. Lo and Behold, he recovered!

I congratulated the owner for the best home care treatment which I am sure excellent with TLC.

A cardiologist from UCLA Hospital is right in saying Vets and Physician are essentially in the same field in saving lives of their patient.
Drugs are tested to the animals before it can be given to human for treatment.. And hundreds of human lives could be saved if physician make an extra efforts looking how Vets managed medical condition on their animal patient like Postpartum depression, Self Inflicted Injury and many others; learn from it and applied to their human patient.
For me, I learned many successful veterinary intervention applied to my patient suggested from a Physician who are my clients and friends. Honing my K-9 veterinary skills for 3 decades.

What do you call a veterinarian who can only take care of one species? A physician. In a fascinating talk, Barbara Natterson-Horowitz shares how a species-spanning approach to health can improve medical care of the human animal -- particularly when it comes to mental health.
