𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: The people of Sugbongcogon proudly took part in the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) training conducted by the Department of Tourism Region 10 (DOT-10).

This training aims to enhance the quality of tourism services by embracing the 7Ms of Filipino Brand of Service Excellence - Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Makabansa, Maka-Kalikasan, Masayahin, May Bayanihan, and May Pag-asa.

Participants also practiced the signature Mabuhay Gesture - placing the right hand over the heart as a heartfelt greeting to every visitor - symbolizing genuine Filipino warmth, respect, and hospitality.

The Department of Tourism - Region 10 (Northern Mindanao) recently conducted a Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training here in the Municipality of Sugbongcogon, Misamis Oriental. The activity aimed to enhance the service quality and hospitality standards of local tourism stakeholders, empowering them to deliver exceptional experiences to visitors.

Today, November 12, 2025, the training is being held in close coordination with the Sugbongcogon Tourism Office, ensuring smooth organization and active participation from all attendees. Participants are engaging in interactive sessions, discussions, and practical exercises designed to strengthen their understanding of Filipino hospitality values and world-class service practices.

Honorable Mayor Cheezee Salvador "Chiz" Lagbas of Sugbongcogon graced the training, emphasizing the importance of service excellence in promoting the municipality as a prime tourism destination in Northern Mindanao.

The training reflects DOT 10’s ongoing commitment to capacity-building among local tourism frontliners, ensuring that communities are equipped to provide warm, professional, and memorable experiences for all visitors.

Participants actively engaged in the FBSE activities, fostering teamwork, learning, and community growth.
