Hello mga ka hammiesπππ
It's been a while I've notice the market trend of the hamster industry ππ
This is just my opinion and might goodthing for us breeders π
We all know hamster market quite going down due to this reason!!
*Effect of supply and demand*
Plenty of breeders, plenty of stock , less buyer .
1st to consider
If u are really a breeder control supply dnt breed to much ,
2nd: out 10 buyer half of them want to be a breeder that they produced to much and they can't handle it and won't last long then they quit and they sell it bulk price π
Consider: bulk price should talk between buyer and seller/breeder, especially if ur buyer have a petshop, dnt put it in public ur prices , to avoid the chain reaction of price down.
3rd: Put a reasonable price to ur PET, if we down the value of our pet, the chain reactions will continue if we dont stop it,
Nevertheless, there's plenty to consider between breeders/sellers and buyers π
1) For me as a breeder , we established good relationship to the other breeders not only to our clients/buyer. Cuz our client or buyer 70-80% are going to be a breeder soon which I discussed already , we should help each other as a breeder, respect posting and let the client decide,
And as a breeder don't overprice your hammies and say to your client it's a *High Quality*, for me the quality of your hamster implies how you value and take care of your hamsterπ
But I also consider the rare type color of your hamster will change the price and it will cost more,
To avoid conflict between your buyer, if your buyer wants it in a lower price, just drop that conversation and just tell them to find another breeder that selling(* if we all breeders same pricing or not that big deference between other breeders, our client will get use to it and the pricing value of our hamster will stable, we breeders will benefit on it!!
2) If a client massage me and I didn't have what she/he's looking for I always refer them to the Group or to a breeder that near to their place , so that i can help the other breeders on that area,
I always ask to my client, who's gonna take care of the hamster and the age , plenty of time I advice my client to chose the other breed, if the one take care of it is a child, I'll always say to my client that CDH(Campbell dwarf hamster) it's nature is aggressive(some of them and if not tame)
If still they insist, I give them step by step advice of handling CDH π
and I also,
Advice my client which not near my area, to find nearer to them for the reason
1) less hustle for the both.
2)less stressed for the hamster(which I always avoid)
3) to give to the breeders near to that area(even its a lost of profit on my part)
Thoughts of this !! If we try doing this we, as breeder will benefit on it,
