Our hearts were full as we wrapped up another meaningful year of service - what a fulfilling journey it has been!🥰🙏

We are grateful to have shared an amazing day of service at the Home for Girls through our PAWPRINTS HATID SAYA Yearly Outreach Program. Beyond providing veterinary care and education, this outreach was about compassion, connection, social responsibility, and giving back to the community.

Thank you to the administrators of Home for Girls for welcoming our team so warmly, and to our dedicated Pawprints staff, to SunLifeGrepa-Butuan Agency, to our families and friends, and to everyone who supported and made this outreach meaningfully possible.

👁🐶 Cherry Eye Surgery Success!✨
Cherry eye — a prolapse of the gland of the third eyelid. Successfully, we were able to reposition and secure the gland safely while preserving tear production.

💙 Early treatment is key to preventing long-term eye irritation and dryness.

Not every dog survives canine distemper — it’s a heartbreaking reality. But for those who do, they’re more than just lucky… they’re fighters. 💪💛

Distemper is a highly contagious viral disease that attacks a dog’s respiratory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems. The road to recovery is tough and often uncertain. Some survivors are left with tremors, twitches, or weakened immunity — but their spirit? Unbreakable.

At Pawprints, we’ve seen firsthand the grit and grace of distemper survivors. With intensive care, lots of love, and strong support from their humans, these dogs overcome the odds. And their stories remind us why prevention is ALWAYS better than cure.

✅ Vaccinate early.
✅ Keep boosters up to date.
✅ Seek help at the first signs: fever, nasal discharge, coughing, or seizures.

🐶Moryn was presented at the clinic with a pr*****ed right globe after she had been attacked by another dog. Her right eye is severely displaced anteriorly from the orbit with no chance of functional recovery. This condition posed a high risk for continuous discomfort, pain, and systemic complications due to infection.

In cases of irreversible ocular trauma, a timely surgical intervention is important. Enucleation, though a last resort, is often life-enhancing rather than life-limiting when the eye is beyond salvage. Pain-free recovery and restored comfort are the primary goals—and in this case, successfully achieved.
