🐾🩺 DID YOU KNOW? YOUR PET’S BLOOD PRESSURE CAN BE CHECKED TOO! 🐶🐱

Just like people, dogs and cats can also develop high or low blood pressure. And sometimes, there may be no obvious signs until the condition becomes serious.

📌 Regular blood pressure monitoring can be especially helpful for pets who are:
• Senior pets
• Experiencing kidney or heart problems
• Showing eye problems or sudden vision changes
• Taking certain long-term medications
• Being monitored for other underlying conditions

💡 TRIVIA FOR PET OWNERS:
Yes! Your pet’s blood pressure can be measured using a special veterinary blood pressure monitor—usually with a small cuff placed around the limb or tail. 🐾

❤️ Early detection can help us identify problems sooner and guide proper treatment.

Want to know your pet’s blood pressure?

📩 ASK US! We can check your pet’s BP during consultation.

Because a healthy pet deserves a healthy pressure! 🐶🐱❤️

🐶 MYTH vs. TRUTH: Why Do Dogs Howl?

🌙 MYTH:
“Dogs howl because they can sense ghosts or something bad is about to happen.”

🐾 TRUTH:
Howling is a normal form of communication for dogs. They may howl for several reasons:

🔊 1. They’re responding to sounds.
Sirens, musical instruments, other dogs, or even certain high-pitched sounds can trigger howling.

🐕 2. They’re communicating.
Howling can be a way of saying, “I’m here!” or responding to another dog from a distance.

❤️ 3. They want attention.
Some dogs learn that howling gets their owner's attention—even if the attention is telling them to stop!

😟 4. They may be lonely or anxious.
Dogs experiencing separation anxiety may howl when left alone, especially if the behavior is accompanied by pacing, whining, destruction, or excessive barking.

🩺 5. Something may be bothering them.
A sudden increase in howling, especially in an older dog or a dog showing other changes in behavior, can sometimes be associated with pain, illness, anxiety, or changes in hearing or cognition.

👉 So, does howling mean something supernatural?
Not necessarily! Before assuming something unusual is happening, look for a behavioral, environmental, or medical reason.

🐾 Remember: Your dog's behavior is one way they communicate with you. Learn to listen—not just with your ears, but by observing the whole picture.

🐾 Good care can give your dog more healthy years!

Dogs typically live around 10–13 years, but lifespan can vary greatly. Some dogs have even lived far beyond their expected years.

What influences a dog’s lifespan?

🐶 Breed – Some breeds naturally live longer, while others are prone to certain diseases.
🧬 Genetics – A dog’s inherited traits can affect longevity.
📏 Size – Smaller breeds generally live longer than larger breeds.
🥗 Lifestyle – Good nutrition, exercise, regular vet checkups, and a loving home all matter.
❤️ Health – Conditions like obesity, cancer, and arthritis can shorten life if left untreated.

The goal isn’t just more years—it’s more healthy, happy years with your pet. 🐕❤️
