You didn’t grow up with me… but you grew old with me, my Rottweiler 🖤🐾
That line hits different when the silence around you starts getting louder…
When the house echoes not with laughter, but with memories 🕰️
When the world moves faster, but your steps get slower 🐾
You didn’t see my first steps,
or hear my first words,
but you were there when words became harder to find,
when my hands trembled,
and my heart needed quiet company more than noise 🤲💞
You didn’t chase me through the wild years—
but you stayed for the slow ones.
For the porch evenings,
the soft sighs,
the gentle warmth of growing old together 🪵🌅
You never asked for my past,
my Rottweiler… you just gave me your present.
And in doing so…
you made my ending feel like a gift 🎁🖤🐕
Thank you, my dear Rottie—
for showing up late,
but loving me like you’ve known me forever 🫶
You weren’t part of my beginning…
but you made the end so much more bearable.
So much more beautiful.
So much more… mine.
Grew old with me… and loved me every single step of the way.
