Is your cat scratching their ears nonstop? 😾👂

It might not be “normal cat behavior” — it could be ear mites.

Ear mites are tiny parasites that live in your cat’s ears. They cause intense itching, dark coffee-ground discharge, and can lead to ear infections or hearing damage if ignored.

Signs to watch for:
✅Head shaking or tilting
✅Constant scratching at ears
✅Dark, crumbly wax that looks like coffee grounds
✅Red, inflamed ears or bad odor
✅Hair loss around ears from scratching

Good news: Ear mites are easy to diagnose and treat when caught early.

Bring your cat to St. Felix Vet Clinic for a quick ear check. A 2-minute swab test tells us for sure, and treatment is simple.
