Orange fur in cats is linked to a gene carried on the X chromosome. Male cats have only one X chromosome, so if they inherit the orange gene, they will usually be entirely orange. Female cats have two X chromosomes, meaning they can carry both orange and black genes at the same time. This combination creates mixed coat patterns like tortoiseshell or calico, where patches of orange and black appear together. Because of this genetic difference, most orange cats are male, while most tortoiseshell and calico cats are female.

MARCH IS RABIES AWARENESS MONTH!

In celebration of the Rabies Awareness Month with the theme "Rabies-Free na Pusa't A*o, Kaligtasan ng Pamilyang Pilipino!" the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist will be conducting massive antirabies (house to house) vaccinations to dogs and cats and Information Drive.

This annual observance aims to raise public awareness on rabies prevention and control and to promote responsible pet ownership.

TOGETHER, we can achieve RABIES-FREE BAGGAO!
Gentle reminder: Please ensure all pets are on leash or in a carrier before their vaccination.

Ang LGU-Baggao thru Municipal Agriculture Office ay magsasagawa ng 1ST FREE SPAY AND NEUTER PROGRAM (Libreng Kapon at Layget) na eksklusibo para sa mga Aspin (A*ong Pinoy) at Puspin (Pusang Pinoy) sa Pebrero 13, 2026, mula 7:00 ng umaga hanggang 1:00 ng hapon, sa San Jose Multipurpose Gymnasium.

Animal Eligibility Criteria:
1.Atleast 1 year old.
2. Healthy not pregnant.
3. Animals must be vaccinated against RABIES.
4. Animals will be assessed on the day of surgery.

Important reminders:
1. This activity is exclusively for Baggao resident.
2. 100 slots only. First come, First serves.
3. One (1) animal per client only.
