NO MATTER WHO YOU VOTED FOR...

I share two very simple messages.

1) LEAD YOUR EMOTIONS TENDERLY

Many are hurt, sad, grieving, angry, and depressed.
I have a friend who joined 12 Leni Rallies;
He’s so overcome with pain.

I told him, “Sit with your sadness; Allow yourself to mourn. But mourn before God. Because He feels your hurt. He weeps with you.”

I have another friend who supports BBM, and she felt very hurt because her own family bullied her.
She was called names, demeaned, and rejected.

I told her the same thing. “Go to God and bring Him your hurts. He loves you. He will heal you. And in due time, God will give you the power to forgive. Don’t go to their level. Rise and forgive.”

I repeat: Feel your feelings.
But do not let your emotions lead you.
Emotions are great servants but horrible masters.
If you let your emotions rule your love life, you’ll choose the wrong guy.
If you let your emotions rule your money, you’ll spend more than you earn, or get into scams, or you get into businesses you know nothing about.

So pause. Rest. Breathe.
Don’t let your emotions lead.
Instead, let God to lead you.

2) SEE PERSONS OVER PEOPLE
Tragically, because of social media, people are getting more polarized.
It’s Us vs. Them; Biden vs. Trump; Leni Supporters vs. BBM Supporters.

But in a deeper reality, there is no “Them”.
Because “them” consists of individual persons.
Not everyone are trolls.
Not everyone are bullies.
Most people are good.
After all, God made us in His image.
Stop thinking of “them” as a faceless evil group;
See individual human beings.
You may know her name but not her story.
She is a person with hurts and dreams and joys and pains...

I like this quote:
“You can’t really understand another person’s experience until you’ve walked a mile in their shoes.”
In Tagalog, Hindi mo alam ang hugot niya.

Friend, ask God for the power to see every person is a God-carrier.
To treat every human being as His beloved child.❤️

DA CALABARZON, ATIKHA, and TGFI-SG, signed a MOA for Agricultural Development Project
Written and Taken (Photos) by Radel Llagas

The Department of Agriculture (DA) Region IV CALABARON, led by Regional Director Arnel V. de Mesa, signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Atikha Overseas Workers and Communities Initiative, Inc., represented by Executive Director Estrella Anonuevo, and The Global Filipino Investors-Singapore (TGFI-SG), represented by Philippine Coordinator Kaye See Sun, on July 13, 2017.

Atikha is a non-government organization that provides economic and social services to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families in the Philippines, while TGFI-SG is a community geared to promote financial literacy to improve the financial well-being of every Filipino.

The agreement aims to promote investment and business opportunities in agriculture; assist in creating an enabling environment for the reintegration of the overseas Filipinos and their families, and contribute to local economic development; and develop the 34-hectare land, called Ekolife Farm, located in Brgy. Calantas, Rosario, Batangas, to be an agro-tourism destination, which will serve as the pilot project for the signed parties.

Specifically, the DA Region IV CALABARZON will provide technical assistance in developing the Ekolife Farm by forming a technical working group that will closely coordinate, assist, and develop the said farm and leverage the investment of OFWs in agriculture by providing equipment and raw materials to priority commodity; support skills training and agri-business training among OFWs and families; and provide menu of investment and business opportunities towards agriculture development for overseas Filipinos and their families in CALABARZON.

According to RD de Mesa, “the joint project is a good one since it really considered the sector of agriculture as a great investment option taking advantage of various DA’s assistance from skills training to distribution of farm equipment and inputs.”

Assistant Regional Director for Research and Regulations Digna P. Narvacan and Livestock Program Coordinator Vilma M. Dimaculangan of DA Region IV CALABARZON, and Deputy Director Aileen Peñas of Atikha served as witnesses in the MOA signing.

Lets all contribute on in our own little ways, filipino agriculture. Kahit tanim tanim sa likod bahay lang.

The Philippines called on members of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), particularly those vulnerable to the ill effects of climate change, to increase their investments in agriculture and food production.
