After the success of our first event, Paw Rescue is back with a second FREE mass sterilization drive for El Nido's stray cats and dogs. It helps control the stray population at the source: fewer puppies and kittens born on the streets, and healthier lives for the animals already here.

Is your cat developing bald spots? 👀🐱
Maybe it’s ringworm!

Ringworm is actually very common in cats. And yes! you can get it from them too!

We actually love handling ringworm cases at our clinic!

Fun fact: One of our vets actually did a study on ringworm in the lab many years ago and “accidentally” inoculated herself with a ketoconazole-resistant strain.

The result? An expensive dermatology visit and a long treatment journey.😅

So if you notice a bald or suspicious looking spot on your cat, don’t just wait. Have it checked by your vet! 🐾

Early diagnosis = easier treatment + less chance of spreading it to your other pets (and to you!)😊

Two enucleations this morning (Warrior and Zedrick)❤️

Zedrick even came all the way from San Mariano!

Sometimes, when an eye can no longer be saved, enucleation is the kindest option to relieve pain and give them a more comfortable life.

Third aural hematoma case this week❗️❗️❗️

Aural hematomas may look like the main problem, but they’re often just a symptom of an underlying ear issue.

Instead of treating the hematoma alone, we always make sure to identify and address the cause, whether it’s an ear infection, allergies, parasites, or other sources of irritation that make dogs shake or scratch their ears.

Because treating the swelling is only part of the solution. Find the cause, treat the cause, and prevent it from coming back☺️

For cats with WET FIP, draining all the fluid buildup in the abdomen is a no-no.

We only remove enough fluid to help the cat breathe more comfortably. The goal is to address the underlying disease, not simply keep draining the fluid.

So yes, hindi kailangan paulit-ulit na i-drain ang fluid. Treat the FIP, and let the body do the rest😉

Every FIP case is different, and treatment should be guided by a veterinarian.!☺️
