The Streetwalkers of Panama: the dogs and cats of our isthmus A book project in progress, and an open forum for photos and stories of the dogs and cats of Panama and the people with whom they associate.

Ultimately the notion is to publish a book photographs and stories. Many of the photos taken for the book -- far more than will actually be used, will be posted here. North American publishers do not understand about what it means for a stranger to ask a Panamanian to sign anything at all, so most of the photos with people in them will end up not being used in the book project, EXCEPT that if people who are in them give written releases then they might be considered. The cats and dogs are the stars of this show anyway, and the biped heroes are the men and women of Spay Panama and the associated organizations of the movement it started.

Has the municipio stepped in to impose a bit of order?

In Anton this dog feeding station had been blocked / shut down by informal vendors selling from pickup trucks taking the space. That was different today, and also I noticed that that a lot of lottery vendors had been moved.

Market forces, commands from on high, truck vendors not wanting to lift heavy rocks placed by friends of the dogs? I know not. I like the dog feeder being open again.
