🥈🌟 Ellie, you are an absolute little champ! Second in the Group 1, 100k Great Northern Oaks! 🌟

💫 Second in the Southland Oaks just 5 days ago, a huge trip to the top on the North Island on such a little filly to be so gutsy, hitting the line so strong over 2700m - you just never cease to amaze me! So so genuine, you are just the best! Now two Group 1 starts for a second and a third to add to her already impressive résumé!

🥂 Massive congratulations to Ellie’s big ownership group - how lucky are we!

💭 Massive night for both Ellie & myself - my first time taking one to the Park & who knows when the next time will be as it’s not every day a small time trainer like myself has a horse worthy of this big trip. Her cracking second in the Southland Oaks confirmed her plane ticket. She seems bright, but it’s been a massive turn around on the wee girl. Whatever the outcome I’m extremely proud of her & the job she has done to get to this point. Hopefully she can get a nice run & gets some luck thrown her way.

😮‍💨 Well.. it’s sure been a whirlwind past 48 hours. From running a super second in the Southland Oaks Ellie has deservingly confirmed her start in the 100k Group 1 Northern Oaks on Friday at Alexandra Park.

🛻 Sunday night sure left a fair bit of organising to do but we managed to get away reasonably organised & early Monday morning to head to Christchurch, ready for the flight to Auckland this afternoon - which has now been delayed 24 hours. So we’ll try again tomorrow, an extra day with the number 1 travelling companion - Tartan Trilogy, (unfortunately yes he’s only coming to Christchurch 🙈) so I’m not sure Ellie is too concerned!

🤗 Thanks to the team back home keeping things ticking over while I’m away & fingers crossed the rest of the trip goes to plan.
Everything aside - What a ride our bonnie wee filly is taking us all on!! 🌟

🥈 Ellie you little beauty! A bold and oh so close to a win in the Southland Oaks but had to settle for second by the tiniest of margins!

🌧️ A terrible day weather wise but once again our wee Ellie pulled through with a super second in the Group 2 Southland Oaks along side a pin point drive from Coxy!

🌟 And to Ellie - you are an absolute little star. Never runs a bad race & try’s so hard! So proud of my wee El!!

🎉 Congrats to all of Ellie’s ownership group!

💭 A race that’s been a target since the beginning of this prep for Ellie & after numerous things not going to plan, a virus, set back after set back we have just scraped our way into the final field & she thoroughly deserves that spot. Ellie enjoyed a massive step back in class last time out for a well timed, feel - good win to lead her into this race. Her work has been good since, she’s happy & healthy but once again she’s drawn the worst number possible which she is well accustomed to now I guess - praying she gets some luck in the running but knowing our wee Ellie, one thing is for sure she will be trying her little heart out!
• This is one race I’d love to win & I couldn’t be more proud of my wee pint sized filly and the job she’s done to get to this point win, loose or draw.
• This time last year as a 2yo she was running third in the Group 1 Diamond Creek!

💭 First start for the stable returned a nice second, this race has a bit more depth but hopefully with the right run Rover can be finding the line strongly once again.

🥇 Ideal Crown enjoyed a massive step back in class today and surely enough got the job done. It was nice to see Ellie get a trip where she didn’t have to do any extra work for a change from a draw where she wasn’t drawn wide under preferential barrier draw conditions!!

🥈 Ramblin Rover also produced a nice finishing burst to pick up a second at his first start for the stable in extremely wet conditions. A very happy bunch of new owners!
