🐾 Sweet little Dipsy & Po are ready for forever! 🐾

These two little pups were tiny when they came into our care, we were very lucky to have a wonderful foster carer who specialises in bottle-fed puppies who had room to take them in. In foster they got all the love, care and attention they needed to grow into the happy, healthy little dogs they are today.

Now their next adventure begins — finding their very own forever families! 🏡❤️

Dipsy is the more confident of the two, while Po can be a little shy at first. Both have grown up around children, other dogs and have met cats. They are used to living inside as a part of the family.

These gorgeous little souls have come so far. Now all they need is someone to love them forever. Could that be you? 💕

Exciting news - our SPCA 2027 Calendars are officially in stock online and in our Op Shops! 🎉🤩

Our calendars are jam-packed with adorable faces from our Pets of the Year fundraising competition, and there are both cat and dog versions available.

At just $20 + shipping, all proceeds help us to care for the tens of thousands of animals that come through our doors each year ❤️ For the first time, we're also able to offer international shipping to animal lovers in Australia and the USA!

If you'd rather pick up your calendar in person, just head to your nearest SPCA Op Shop - we recommend giving them a call first to check they have your preferred calendar.

🐾 MIA IS WAITING FOR HER FOREVER HOME! 🐾

Mia is ready to run straight into your heart! ❤️ This beautiful, sweet-natured girl is full of energy, joy and love. She’s playful, can be wonderfully snuggly, and really just wants to please her people.

Mia LOVES chasing and catching tennis balls, going for walks, exploring new places and sniffing out all the interesting smells. And of course, no adventure is complete without a good roll around in the grass!

Mia will benefit from ongoing training and continued socialisation with other dogs. She would be best suited to a home with children aged 10+ and, importantly, an experienced dog owner who understands training and can help her become the best girl she can be.

With the right person, Mia will thrive. She deserves a loving, caring forever family who will give her the time, guidance, attention and love she has been waiting for. 🐶💕

Carl is our cat of the day - chosen by Lacy, one of our amazing volunteers, and these gorgeous photos are also from Lacy ♥ Carl is 12 months old, a real little sweetheart. You can find Carl on our website here https://www.spca.nz/adopt/animal/672274/cat-carl-whangarei or pop into the centre, have a chat with our team and meet all of the cats we have available in our cattery. We're open 10 - 3 Monday to Saturday.

Nickle went on an adventure today with one of our team. They said he was such a good boy, and had the best time! Nickle is still a bit shy in new situations, so they spent ages just sitting and getting used to the sounds of traffic and being in a new place.
