Cosy Cats Retreat Formerly known as "Fussy Cats" we are the brand new owners Linda and Nick. With lots of love and cuddles added in! Check us out for your cats next holiday.

While you are out having adventures we are wanting to give your cats an adventure of their own! Lets us introduce ourselves. We are Linda and Nick Rowson, the proud new owners of Cosy Cats Retreat (formerly Fussy Cats). As avid animal lovers it has always been my dream to own a cattery and thought why not bring my husband and 4 kids along for the ride! When the opportunity came to purchase Fussy C

ats, we jumped in with two feet. We are looking forward to making changes over the next few months that will leave your cats feeling like they are in a home away from home. But don't worry we will still be open for Xmas with little to no disruption for all our guests. I come with a wealth of knowledge of animal care and what I don't know I am happy to learn. I have volunteered for Auckland Zoo, Riding for the disabled, farm stays. Worked in large format Pet Stores and currently volunteering at the Whangarei SPCA. I am excited to be able to meet and take care of you and your family.

Just to let you know we will be closed for any new bookings Sunday 6th September to Sunday 13th September as I need to head to Auckland for a few days. Nick will be here to look after the ones that are already booked in. Thanks 🥰🐾

A lot of you know Munch, he started coming to us a couple of years ago when his dad was unwell, we’d get the call he was in hospital and off to Onerahi we went to fetch him and bring him home. His dad was a lovely gentleman whom loved his cat dearly, he would light up when we’d take him home and he could see him again. Sadly his dad passed away late last year. We’ve had Munch since trying to integrate him into our home and give him a place to call his own. Unfortunately despite our best efforts he did not like our dog. That meant we were on the look out for a new guardian, not actively looking cause he had a home with us but we wanted to give him a great life. Well I’m pleased to say he has his happy ending and has found a wonderful home near by with two cat siblings and a mum and dad who love him 🥰💙 The best part for us is that we can still get to see him when they head away and knowing he is living a great life warms our hearts. We do miss him and he will always have a home here but we are so thankful to his new family for loving him and giving him a happy retirement, he deserves it x 🐾🐈
