My beautiful angel Audrey had surgery today to remove 7 lumps from her belly, far more than we originally expected, as we had only thought there were 2 to begin with. But it’s a great thing. Right now the biggest focus is making sure she heals comfortably, gets lots of rest, and feels all the love around her 🤍 Our vet did an amazing job taking care of her as usual.

Audrey turns 14 next month, and hearing that her liver isn’t doing very well was heartbreaking news no pet owner ever wants to receive. Thankfully she is recovering well and doing okay after surgery, and for that we are incredibly grateful 🩷
One step at a time.

Watching our dogs grow older is one of the hardest parts of loving them. Over time you notice the little changes, the slowing down, the grey hairs, and the moments that quietly remind you they won’t be with us forever. But in our hearts, we know we have given them the best lives possible, filled with love, comfort, cuddles, and family.

***OREWA BEACH - DOG OWNER CAUTION***
We hope this is nothing, however we have had two seabirds brought into us this afternoon from the northern end of Orewa Beach (different spots on beach from Moana statue north). Both were seen pecking at something on the sand, before soon after displaying neurological signs. We recommend you avoid this area when walking your dog, or at least keep your dog on a lead. We are going to attempt to find and remove what the birds were pecking at.
