Whanganui Adopt a Dog

11/09/2026

UPDATE: Great news, this lovely girl has gone home :-)

Here at the pound, we have one lost pup,
Waiting & hoping, for her owner to pick her up,

Unfortunately, she has no chip,
so, for now, at the pound she'll need to kip,

She's happy enough, and loves to play,
but we'd rather get her home at the end of the day.....

Please, if this is your dog, come and collect her!
As home with her family, is what she'd prefer!

Please call the Animal Management team on (06)349-0001

Found in Central Whanganui

UPDATE: No more applications please :-) Thanks for all the applications, we will be going through them all.

This is Ruby, she's a sweet little girl,
she'll happily show off her fluff and give you a twirl,

She's an active young lady who loves a good walk,
and someone home most of the day, with whom she can "talk"

Ruby is unfortunately looking for a new home,
through no real fault, of her own,

She just doesn't want to be left home alone,
and lots of attention she likes to be shown 🥰

Ruby is a Cavalier King Charles spaniel and nearly 4 years old,
but is no good with cats, so we've been told 😌

So, if you're an active person, who'd like a new friend,
an application to adopt, to us, you'd best send,

more details we are always happy to supply
Just use the link below, if you wish to apply 🥰

UPDATE: little Snooki now has a new home 🥰

This gorgeous little guy needs a new home,
he's a loveable chap, who doesn't want to be alone,

Training him is easy and going well to date,
he's such a good boy, who happily sleeps in his crate,

He's approximately 9 weeks old, and as sweet as can be,
as for his breed.... well, there's no guarantee...🤣

We've named him Snooki, as it suits him well,
he's probably going to be medium size, as far as we can tell,

So, if you'd like to adopt this cute wee man,
filling out our online form, would be the best plan 🙂

alternatively, you can give us a call,
as honestly, for his cute wee face, in love-it's not hard to fall 😍
