It’s been great to be back teaching, and with all horses now back in work, I’m taking bookings with both school horses and clients’ own 🐴

As we head toward the end of the year I want to reflect on everything my clients have achieved. From personal milestones to competition success it has been a privilege to be part of their journeys ✨
Just last week one of my clients competed at the Special Olympics and came home with a gold, silver and bronze medal 🥇🥈🥉 It is so good to see all the hard work paying off. Congratulations!

✨Update✨

After a rough winter of sickness and complications, I finally have some answers and am starting to feel more like myself again.
Being the horsey girl I am, I thought I was giving myself enough rest … but looking back, I definitely overdid it and pushed my body too far.

This downtime has also given me space to reflect on what I want from my business and where my priorities need to be. When I feel ready, I’m looking forward to gently easing back into a little teaching and getting back in the saddle, taking things at a pace that feels manageable and that my body allows.

I’m sorry I haven’t managed to reply to everyone’s messages, but I’m so thankful for your patience, kindness, and the many offers of help (which I may still take up!). To my clients,friends and support team — your support has meant more than words can say. ❤️

Here’s to getting back on track, one step at a time 🐴✨

After all that rain, it’s great to see some sunshine this afternoon! The forecast looks clear for the weekend, and the horses are all set after a few days off and ready for lessons. Looking forward to a fun, dry few days ahead—hope everyone’s properties held up okay!

As the year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank all my incredible clients for their continued support throughout 2024. It’s been another busy and rewarding year!
I’m looking forward to an even more exciting 2025, with new goals, adventures, and, of course, plenty of time in the saddle. 🐴✨

Had an incredible time overseas at Equitana 🐎 Highly recommend it! Amazing entertainment, inspiring clinics, top-notch presenters, and plenty of shopping. Would love to go again.

❄️⛄️ Who doesn't love a winter wonderland? Luka sure does! 🐕✨ Who else got some snow?

Not sure if I'll be teaching from home tomorrow—I'll check the weather in the morning 🌨️ and touch base with everyone who has lessons scheduled. 🐎

For now, the ponies are all snug in their covers with full tummies, enjoying a well-deserved day off. 💤🐴🥕

🦄I have a client on the lookout for a safe first hack. Flick me a PM if you have anything that fits the following criteria:

• Age: 10-16 years

• Height: 15hh-16hh

• Gelding or ‘non mareish’ mare

• Good temperament

• Excellent ground manners

• All-rounder with good flatwork and competition experience

• Comfortable showjumping 1.1m and minimum 80cm x-country

• Forward fine but with good brakes, responsive, not hot

• Honest, safe, sane

• No dirt

• Hacks well alone and with others

• Good to float (straight loader), worm, shoe, teeth, etc.

• Good doer

• No previous medical issues or injuries, no history of lameness

• budget: 🍎 🍎 🍎 🍎

• Crossbreds prefered, No TBs or SBs

Had a fantastic time taking my client to Selwyn SJ this weekend! 🏇 It was wonderful to see their progress and how everything is coming together. 🌟 Well done, team! 👏

Last week marked a special reunion with my first horse, Barty, after 13 years. There have been many influential horses in my life, but Barty was the one that started me on this path. Looking back, I don't know if I would ever recommend skipping getting a pony and going straight for a 16.3hh Irish hunter as a first horse, but Barty was special. He defied expectations, proving to be the safest and most incredible friend I could ask for. Selling him to go to Uni was incredibly difficult, but I knew it was the best thing for him as he had so much more to give. Seeing him now at 33 years old, happy and thriving in retirement, is incredible. Thank you, Barty, for being the best boy and an irreplaceable part of my journey. 🐴

1st 📸 all his current and old owners in one place at once, he's probably one of the last Laughtens Legend horses alive too. Swipe for some photos of me in my teenage years with Barty. I know a lot of my clients worry about their lower leg jumping, to which I reply mine was way worse at your age; look for yourself we all start somewhere! 🐴🌟
