Cheryl Trust Practitioner NZ Sharing a peaceful and trusting approach to helping animals with their behaviour issues using the Trust Technique.

This approach is a game changer for any issue, in all animals. I specialise in dogs with high reactivity, trauma, separation anxiety, etc I love doing these sessions - its amazing working with people and their animals on this level and seeing the changes in just one session! It just the loveliest way to work with animals that are anxious or aggressive, going at their pace and helping them understand life doesnt have to be this way, they can come through this.

Pippy loves her crate πŸ™ŒπŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ so foster mum is now going to work on her lead manners.

We are resetting - starting with the basics to get Pippy back into a supported role, then we can help her be more calm/less reactive

Nine ish years ago I was busy learning the trust Technique and doing case studies. It was a really busy time but so much fun.

And now I’m just starting up my advanced learning as James has opened up a Pioneer Program to work on advanced learning and techniques.

Yesterday I got to work on the human side of things - trust technique for humans with my first case study with a volunteer πŸ’œπŸ™πŸ’œ
It was a great first session πŸ’•

I’m beyond excited to be doing this, and the difference it will make for my clients.

Clay had a great third session concentrating on getting him walking confidently onlead. He reacts to the scary world but his foster family have been implementing the new practices and he is starting to go really well - today he even felt he could do new stuff in a new environment down by my barn.

Last week he fell apart when we asked him to walk forward - so this is great progress !!

He got happier and happier and I sent everyone home with loads of homework which will keep growing clays brave.

He is a clever boy and will love all this walking with support πŸ’œ

I remember these two little gremlins that were snapping and snarling at each other. Their people were in tears and had tried all sorts to stop them fighting.

The dogs couldn’t look at each other they would fight, if their people moved too close to the other dog they would go again, if their people moved they would growl and snap and if anything was not agreeable it was an excuse for an argy bargy full on argument!

This was session 3 - 3 hours of training with me … no gadgets, no shock collars, no treats, no threats…..just bringing in structure and showing the dogs where good behaviour is
πŸ’œ was loads of fun helping them from chaos to calm
