We started our day working with orbital sanders, then turned to water play before feeding all the animals. A bit of foot sliding/skating on the old deck, then off to plant the pot with succulents and lettuce seeds.

Fabulous having you back riding, and wowza you've grown heaps over the holidays. Lucy was keen trotting and centering today too. Horse enjoyed his grooming but rolled as soon as the lesson was over. All so he can be brushed again tomorrow. Clever Horse, clever rider.

2 fun parties, but just one cake to share, the other was enjoyed at home.
The themes were Moose and Horses. We shared in some farm games like a gumboot throw, egg and spoon race, sack races and the classic toy horse race. Bubbles, art and of course pony rides.

Helping farmer/fireman John burn off some old branches meant learning about fire safety, checking the charge levels in the batteries, learning to repair the old beanbag with a blanket stitch, caring for the horses as the fog rolled in were just some of our activities today. We also baked, taught Shadow some tricks and sang our way through the day.

We packed a lot into today! here's our list!
We fed the lamb, we gave hay to Scoobie but Mini Cooper had first dibs. We went on a scavenger hunt for long grass and delicious weeds for the bunnies and guineapigs. We added veges to the haul. We fed the chickens and the fish then picked lemons to make lemonade. We gave our efforts a big thumbs up! Then came the art/crafts. We painted horse shoes, made riding ribbons and painted with feathers. We climbed on hay and played in the hay shed. We brushed and rode Scoobie Doo. Practiced our rope tying and even gave pony poo scooping a go. We used sticks and the old bathtub for drumming too. We should sleep soundly tonight.

Horse riding and helper day today, sorry if I missed taking your riding photos today, feel free to send some in though ๐Ÿ˜Š we love to see them.
Our awesome helper assisted in stacking 2 bales of hay, a few shovels of dirt moved, catching fish for the pond clean, fed pets, helped brush the horse and played with the lamb. Thank you for supporting farmer John!

Lovely to share in the animal nuture and enjoyment with todays group. They also built a fairy house, flew a kite, potted herbs, sawed wood, and after brushing Scoobie, made balls of horse fur!

Another successful school holiday programme here at Trickle Creek. Animal lovers/whispers in the making, they were followed around by all the pets today. Even the neighbours dog had a cuddle. Fantastic. Spaces available for next weeks activities from horse riding to pet care, crafts and wherever a child's imagination can take us. Magnets, bubbles, restaurant play, karaoke were just a few of our experiences today. See the link in the comments to book your space next week.
