Last week I so-sadly said GoodBye to Lovely Luna, who I had the honour and pleasure of walking for the last 5 years. ❤️ 💛 ❤️

For those that live in Raumati South, you'd probably know Luna. She was the 'Queen of the Beach' and would welcome just anyone to shower her with pats and attention along our travels. She had SO many friends.

Wherever you are now Luna, Thank You 💕 for lots of great memories 🙏 and I hope you're still surrounded in love, enjoying a beach and scoring lots of tid-bits. 😉

Meet gorgeous Asher 🐾

Asher is just full of the joys of life when he's on his walk with us, nose glued to the ground and tail wagging at hyper speed when he's found the perfect smell trail!
He's also quite the photogenic boy 🥰.

⚠️Karaka Berry Warning ⚠️
Please be aware of Karaka tree berries whilst walking your four-legged friends this summer.

Throughout the warmer months (January – April) the berries ripen, turn orange and fall off the trees - these berries can be FATAL if eaten by dogs.

Signs of Karaka berry poisoning include confusion, weakness, vomiting, hind leg paralysis and convulsions. There can be a delay of 24-48 hours between berry consumption and symptoms. If you suspect your dog has ingested Karaka berries, contact a vet immediately.

Tips to keep your dog safe:
🔵 Be vigilant on walks and look out for Karaka trees. Avoid any area where you know Karaka trees are situated.
🔵 If you cannot avoid going past an area where Karaka trees are, put your dog on a short lead and keep them by your side at all times to reduce the chances of accidental ingestion.
🔵 Keep a toy or treat with you to keep their attention on you whilst you walk through this high-risk area.
🔵 Make sure your friends and family are aware of the risks of Karaka berries if they are taking your dog for a walk on your behalf.

🐾🐾 Furry Friends Friday 🐾🐾

Meet Oscar! I finally snapped a good photo this happy lil chap, who's normally too full of energy and excitement to get a picture of!

Oscar and I were cooling off in the shade on Wednesday. With these scorching hot days getting more frequent, remember to give the pavements/sand a test with the 5 second rule: if you can't hold the back of your hand flat for 5 seconds without it stinging, then it's too hot for your pooches! Try walking early morning or very late evenings 😊🐕.
