COF preparations for the old boy - Elliot.

Freshly rebuilt power steering box, new set of brake linings and he’s ready for a thorough inspection and hopefully the tick of approval to head off for next seasons travels.

He’s an old boy, established in 1978 he’s very easy to work on, no computers complaining, no sensors to upset, just pure American steel.

With 120,000 original miles he still loves getting loaded to the brim with all the toys, seating, shades sails etc you see around the Fair, to top it off he also pulls our Ute around on a A-Frame. 350hp of turbocharged diesel power, there’s nothing holding him back 💨

What a work horse!

Be sure to keep and eye out for him as we make our way from Christchurch up to Papamoa for the first fair of the season - September 19 & 20 Simpson Reserve.

What a week !!!

🚛💨Gypsies helping gypsies get around the country

⛴️🌊 ferry crossings !! Super lucky to be on the sail home showing up with about half hour to spare … till sailing not check in closing 😅

🐶 precious cargo 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

🚛💨 1st time driving a lil truck Barry the beast across the South Island and onto the ferry… he be slow as 🥱 but definitely keeps me on my toes 🚛💨 love it !!

✨ can’t wait to get back and start making some adjustments to Barry to make the season a lil easier 😜🚛💨

South Island you can stick ya bitter as minus 1s I dislike that chill to the bone !! ❄️🥶❄️ see ya soon north island 🏝️

Meet Barry the backcountry beast, his slogans include Barry bigger than your problems, fueled by curiosity and coffee so will stop often… powered by adventure and bad decisions 🚛💨✨ can’t wait to go get Barry 😂🚛💨

Probably near a beach somewhere 🌊 he’ll have Gypsy Fair slapped on him somewhere and if you end up following us you’ll know where and when to be at our next fair…. Whoop whoop 🙌 what an upgrade aye ! New awning and tent on way to attach! trailer hopefully being built without me over summer 🚛💨✨🌻🩷
