Did anyone else get a little excited seeing the snow this week? ❄️ It was a beautiful reminder that winter is in full swing! 🥶
As the temperatures drop, we hope you're staying warm, cosy and making the most of the season.

While you're reaching for an extra blanket and a hot drink, don't forget our furry friends! They feel the cold too, so make sure they have a warm, dry place to snuggle up, plenty of cosy bedding, and shelter from the winter weather. A little extra comfort goes a long way in keeping them happy, safe, and snug all season long. 🐾💙

‼️Bird Flu H5N1 🪽

The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has now confirmed detection of a single case of H5 bird flu strain in NZ. In a brown skua seabird found at Petone Beach in Wellington.

There is no evidence that the virus has spread beyond this individual seabird, but we are asking the community to be alert and report any sick or dead birds and animals.

Our advice to the public is:

🚧Keep your distance. Stay away from sick or dead wildlife. Keep pets away too.

🧼Keep clean. Wash your hands and clean your gear after being outdoors.

☎️Know when to report. If you see three or more sick or dead birds or wildlife, report them to the exotic pest and disease hotline on 0️⃣8️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ 8️⃣0️⃣9️⃣ 9️⃣6️⃣6️⃣

CUTENESS OVERLOAD!! 😍🐾

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming beautiful little Billie to the clinic for her very first visit with us. Just look at that adorable face! 🥰😍
She completely stole all of our hearts, and we hope to see her back for plenty of cuddles! ❤️
