Wellington Canine Obedience Club Inc We aim to help club members train their dogs to a satisfactory and acceptable level of obedience with the help and guidance of our experienced instructors.

Our aim is to help dog owners train their dogs to a satisfactory and acceptable level of obedience with the help and guidance of our experienced team of instructors in a friendly and supportive environment. The courses we offer range from puppy training and basic domestic obedience through to obedience competition level and fun exercises for dogs of all ages. Kings Birthday Nelson Triple Obedience Show also proved a great success for the WCOC Comp Team!

* Tui placed 2nd and 4th in Novice with amazing work all round!

* Stanley placed 3rd, 3rd and 4th in Test B with some stunning heelwork in every round!

Kings Birthday WCOC RallyO team down at the Nelson Triple Champ Show.

* Ted was a superstar all weekend! Won all three Excellent B’s (two on 100, one on 99) and won one Advanced B with qualifications in all Advanced B’s also (again two on 100, one on 99). No scores below 99. So comes home with another two Advanced/Excellent pairs towards his RAE2 (and one pair was in the bucketing rain!).

* Fern came home with 2 qualifying certificates in Advanced B, doing possibly the best rounds she’s ever done and placed 2nd in Advanced B!

Such great work from both dogs!!!! Unfortunately no Encore at that show 😢 Bring on the Benefit Show!

Kings Birthday Simi and Aila entered the show ring and also had great success!

* Simi got 2 challenge certificates including 2 Best of Breeds

* Baby Aila got 5 Best Baby Puppy of Breed, 1 Reserve Best of Breed, and then she got Best Baby Puppy of Group!

Kings Birthday bought great success over 3 disciplines for WCOC dogs!
First up, our super sniffers.

*Winston qualified in all 9 of his Novice searches and just needs one more certificate in Vehicle for his SN title. He also received two judges awards!

*Marlowe qualified in all 8 of his Advanced searches!

Awesome day for WCOC RallyO team at the Titahi Bay double show today! Petrie got her first two qualifying certs in Novice, Simi placed 2nd in Advanced A, Frankie got another qualification in Novice heading towards her Bronze milestone and Ted placed 3 times, got a qualification in Encore (3 more to EP3) and both Advanced. Remains the king of 99/100 in Excellent (another 2 today ahhh!!!). Fern got another qualification in Encore.

Wow, what a weekend in Napier for Ted! 9 rounds of RallyO, 7 on 100/100 and 2 Excellents on 99 (silly recall sign both times!).

Most exciting is Ted is now known as RO EN CH Ted CDXS OA RAE EP2 CGCG gaining his Encore Champion title (DogsNZ pending) yesterday!!! So proud of him, especially considering he’s 4 months off 12 years old!

He also gained another Advanced/Excellent pair slowly edging towards RAE2.

Stanley got two more Encore qualifications towards his EP2 (3 to go now). After Nelson in 2 weeks, he will be back into Advanced and Excellent too.

WCOC Comp team was at Avalon Champ Test this weekend.

* Freya 5th place in Intro New Handler

* Annie 3rd place Novice Saturday

* Nado 4th place Test B Sunday

* Mica - Best Heel Free in Beginners on Sunday

Also lovely training rounds from Lacey nailing her ring entries and Stan really getting the hang of sendaways in Test B!

WCOC certainly has an array of successes!!!

Last weekend it was RallyO. This weekend it was Confirmation Showing and Competition Obedience!

First up was the gorgeous Simi (Drakon Sergeant Simcha RN) who gained two more Challenge Certificates (now 4 in total, half way to Breed Champion) and also got two Best of Breed wins! Congratulations Ramiel and Simi!
