Wellington Canine Obedience Club Inc We aim to help club members train their dogs to a satisfactory and acceptable level of obedience with the help and guidance of our experienced instructors.

Our aim is to help dog owners train their dogs to a satisfactory and acceptable level of obedience with the help and guidance of our experienced team of instructors in a friendly and supportive environment. The courses we offer range from puppy training and basic domestic obedience through to obedience competition level and fun exercises for dogs of all ages. A huge congratulations to the very successful Wellington Canine super sniffers who competed last weekend at the Titahi Bay Scentwork Trial. Awesome work Simi, Wilson and Marlowe! Fern also qualified in 3 Excellent searches, Masters Container search and received two judges merit awards. What an amazing team of dogs and handlers! You are really moving up the awards and titles now!

We breed them tough at Wellington Canine! Pretty much all dogs attended our Grade 1 and 2 classes tonight despite the horrible wind and rain! Awesome work from all the dogs and handlers, especially the young puppies and new dogs who nailed the focus work and toy play despite the weather and being around other dogs at training for the first time. See you all next week, when hopefully its a bit drier and warmer!!!

Results from the Wellington Canine Obedience Club Rally-O Ribbon Trial on the 10th July. Congratulations all! Next year, we'll try for better weather, but we'll still have just as much fun!

IMPORTANT: WCOC Ribbon Trial tomorrow morning: The Road up to the club is closed due to a tree coming down (Alexandra Road). This is past the club so doesn't block traffic as such to the club.

Please make sure you come up Alexandra Road from the Newtown end. The council think it'll be cleared by the morning. But if the road remains closed, we will have someone stationed at the end of Alexandra Road from 8am to let dog club traffic only through (council have approved). So don't aim to be there before 8am at this stage. Stop at the cones and identify yourselves and Crystal will let you through.
