Outpawed For the care and management of community, stray and abandoned cats in the lower North Island.

Outpawed is a NZ registered charity dedicated to the care and management of stray, abandoned and community cats in the lower North Island (Wellington, Kapiti & Manawatu)

We provide shelter for wild cats/kittens and aim to desex, socialise, vaccinate, microchip and find homes for as many of these cats as possible. We are also involved in TNR for cats that cannot be integrated into a household environment. Where TNR is necessary, cats are released into managed colonies where they are fed and monitored. We aim to work with local government and other animal welfare organisations to obtain the best outcome possible for the stray/community cat population. Our goal is to reduce this population over time through desexing and adoption.

Daisy and Sidney are gorgeous 4-month-old kittens who are still a little shy but growing in confidence every day. 💕
Once comfortable, they love chin scratches, playtime, and zooming around with their foster siblings.
These sweet girls would love to find a forever home together where they can continue to grow, play and feel safe and loved. 🩷
If yo9u'd like to meet them, they're available to visit in Avalon, Lower Hutt. Fill out our pre-adoption form here https://www.outpawed.org.nz/adoption-application

It happened! ❤❤❤
Rooney and Betty-boop have started a trial adoption in their potential fur-ever home.
This pair have been with us for quite some time so fingers crossed they'll fall on their paws with their new family.
Sometimes the perfect match takes time.

Sydney and Daisy are enjoying stretching their legs in their foster home. They're learning to play (with the assistance of big brother Frank) and becoming more confident each day.
These girls have had their first vaccination and will be spayed and have their second vaccination in the coming weeks.
They'll be available for adoption from mid-August.
