If you have been wanting to take a break but not keen on putting your fur baby into a cattery, I can help! I am an experienced and qualified cat lover that can come to your home to care for your cat when you are not able to be there. As part of my visit I can clean litterboxes, feed your cat, have play time, empty your mailbox, water plants, put out bins, and open and close your curtains so your

home doesn't appear vacant while you are away. I may be able to do other tasks for you while I am there, just ask :)
I have a current clean criminal record check to provide you which I request every few months for your peace of mind. I take the safety and security of your home seriously, and do not have anything that identifies me as a pet sitter so your neighbours don't know you aren't home. I will work with you to set up visits that will work best for you and your cat and will also provide photos by email or text updates. I understand cats and know when they don't want any attention, or if they need a lot. I am also experienced in administering medication if required - there is no extra cost for this. I also have my New Zealand Certificate in animal care. I am available to visit your home in the wider Wellington area, outside of Wellington City may incur travel costs. • One cat for one visit per day $25 - $5 extra per additional cat
• One cat for two visits per day $40 - $5 extra per additional cat
There is no extra charge for administering medication or cleaning the litter trays. Other small pets will be considered, but if I'm not confident I can care for them, I will let you know. Cancellation Policy
As soon as you have a made a booking with me, it is possible I may decline further bookings to ensure I don't over-commit. Last minute bookings and changes can be discussed, as I understand our current environment can be quite disruptive. If you wish to cancel your booking, you can do so for free unless I have already left to visit your cat. If the booking is cancelled while I am at the visit, you will still be charged for that visit. Cancellation fees apply at Christmas time if cancelled within 7 days or less of your booking.

⚡️ Stormy Weather: Helping Your Scaredy-Cat Brave the Thunder! 🐾

While storms can be exciting for us, they can turn our little feline friends into trembling bundles of fur. My boy Benny is a prime example of this.
Cats have incredibly sensitive hearing, so a thunderstorm doesn't just sound loud to them, it can actually feel like a physical vibration.
​If your kitty heads straight for the deepest, darkest corner of the closet when the sky turns gray, here is a quick guide to helping them feel safe and secure.

😎 Your Stormy Weather Action Plan

​Create a "Safe Haven": Don't force your cat out of hiding! Instead, make their favorite hiding spot extra cozy. Pop a soft blanket, a piece of your unwashed clothing (your scent is incredibly soothing), and a few favorite treats into the closet or under the bed.

​Muffle the Noise: Close all windows and pull the blinds to block out the sharp flashes of lightning. Turn on a white noise machine, a fan, or play soft classical music to help drown out the sudden cracks of thunder.

​The Power of Pheromones: Consider plugging in a Feliway diffuser (which mimics calming feline facial pheromones) in the room where they spend the most time. It works like a quiet, comforting hug for their nervous system.

​Keep Your Cool: Cats are absolute pros at reading our body language. If you are running around gasping at the lightning, they will think there really is a monster coming. Stay calm, speak in low, soothing tones, and go about your day normally.

​Distract, Don't Force: Offer treats or a fun game with a toy if they show interest, but if they just want to hide, let them. Forcing a terrified cat to cuddle can actually increase their stress (and might get you accidentally scratched!).

​A Note from Your Sitter:
Next time you have to travel during storm season, rest easy knowing I’ll be there to close the blinds, turn on the soothing tunes, and make sure your brave (or not-so-brave) kitty has a comforting presence around! 😻

A small note as well - you won’t always see photos from every booking on this page and that’s completely okay! Some families prefer to keep their pets and homes private, and respecting that trust will always come first.

Every cat is cared for with the same love and attention whether they appear on social media or not. In saying that, todays ‘cat tax’ is one of my own, gorgeous Grayson looking ever so handsome 😺
