Back in to the role of guiding, with the first trek of the season done and dusted.

3 days down in Burkes Pass battling the winds, so we unfortunately didn't make it on to the tops, but horses and riders all coped incredibly well in the conditions.

Iā€™ve introduced the main team, but thereā€™s also an endless supply of young stock thatā€™s ready to start coming out! So some of these faces may start making an appearance this season too (if I can find the time šŸ«£)

The first crop of foals from my stallion are now 3 year olds and I canā€™t wait to start working with them. Itā€™s pretty easy to distinguish which ones are Obiā€™s, heā€™s certainly left his stamp on them!

Last, but definitely not least, is TANK

Heā€™s a 15.3hh 5 year old clydie x Irish and a full sibling to Aspen who was on the team for the previous two seasons.

The name ā€œtankā€ was originally just a nickname because he was quite the unit as a foal, but it seems to have stuck!

Heā€™s also in his first season out trekking so will hopefully be ready for new riders later in the season šŸ“

This lovely big girl is VIENNA

Sheā€™s a 5 year old 16.2hh clydie x tb that I bred myself. This is her first season out trekking, so sheā€™ll start off with me on board to gain some more experience. Sheā€™s incredibly sweet and quiet, so hopefully before the end of the season sheā€™ll be ready for someone else to take the reins!

MEET THE HORSES ā­ļø

First (and definitely most important) is DASH

13yo 16.2hh clydie x tb

This girl has been around the block as my main riding and competition horse, as well as top broodmare with 4 foals on the ground. She knows her job and doesnā€™t mess around!

Sheā€™s the queen bee and does expect to be treated accordingly, but is great at keeping all my other horses in line!
